So since I hear alot of good things about this product, I've wanted to try it but have to order it online since its not available locally, so is there another product that compares to tarminator, I know tardis is a good product but that definitely isnt available. Any thoughts.

I haven't found anything that compares locally, and I've gone through pretty much every OTC product there is.

a can of tarminator isn't very cheap, and I can use a whole can on the neglected cars I detail... I wish there was something more economical.

A 5 gallon pail of tarmonator is $46 from Stoners Direct.

If you need to remove road tar, kerosene is cheap and works. Won't harm your paint, but you do need to do a wash before polishing or waxing

    Rain-X Bug & Tar Pre-Wash Gel. Don't laugh.

    -It's a solvent cleaner.
-$3.30 + tax per 23oz bottle at my local Walmart.
-It's a gel product so it clings to the surface.
-Comes with a nice Surf City Garage style trigger sprayer.
-Needs more dwell time than Tarminator but IME works just as well (3-5 minutes dwell time).
-You have to get it as soon as Walmart gets their car care shipments in. They only get a small quantity of this stuff each time and it sells out quickly.
