Well got this car a day early and decided to work on it. Little did I know, this car had curves like no other. I had to work each panel carefully. It took me about a whole day to finish it. Man too lazy to discuss what i did, ill edit this later.

Man that is one sexy Evo, I haven't detailed an Evo just yet but I've been told that they are a pain to detail becuase of all the nice sexy curves they have. I have a co-worker that owns one and I'll be detailing in the spring, look forward to it.

I'd love to see what process you did buddy becuase it looks really good :thumb:

I noticed in one of the pictures that your using the Edge pads with your (looks like) Metabo? How do you like the Edge pads with Menzerna products? I personaly didn't like the combo of Edge pads with Menzerna so I've now put the Edge pads away....I'm sure I'll use them again but now with Menzerna.

Oh one last thing, your house looks wicked :wicked:

Thank you for sharing, you did a fine job there.

I used Menzerna SIP and then followed by 106 FA. I tried FA by itself once and it didnt really do the job so i had to back with some SIP... Was a pain..

Ya i used the edge pads with menzrna 106FA. But for SIP I used a wool pad. Combo finished the car off perfect. I liked the foam pad with the 106FA b/c it doesnt have lint flying all over the place...

Dayum that Evo looks good. Lol I like the Emperor sticker at the back. I actually thought of having an Emperor sticker when I was younger cause I was a big Initial D fan. The color scheme reminds me of Pepsi :p. You did an awesome job :D.

    Paint looks ill... very nice!!

Not a big fan of the color of those rims against that paint.

    Nice detail!

Most (if not all) on DB are process detail junkies so if you want to share for future posts that would be great!!

Sweet thanks for the hook - up on the process.. You aren't messing around and even added the "turned heater on" step.

very interestting that you run the engine while hosing off..any reason for this?

    What's the FMINUS formula recipe?

  14. Takumi587

    Takumi587 Birth of a Detailer

I leave the engine on so when i water it down if it sputters i stop watering.

As for FMINUS' formula its a secret :shh: but I can tell you that its contents are all organic.
