This was from 2 different orders, but has anyone noticed that the SV wheel brushes can come in 2 different sizes? The first one I received has "06 Swissvax Wheel" printed on teh side of it. The one I received yesterday has "08 Swissvax Wheel" printed on it. The 08 one is quite a bit bigger than the 06 one. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Take a side by side picture of them, I'm curious of the difference. Knowing you, you probably got some kind of prototype worth 300 bucks. :waiting2:
One is labled 80 and the other is 90, I believe. One is a little heavier than the other. One is for interior detailing (im guessing the smaller one) and the other is for wheels. Same brush different uses.
i've also noticed in some of phils detail pictures that he has what looks like a flat swissvax brush with "Pneu" printed on the wooden handle. he was obviously using it on the dressing on tires. i'd like to get me one of those, just because....
 I'm still real surprised by that DG111 find. I found out that the 1989 date he told me was the last year they made the 2 piece box. So it could indeed be older than 20 years! I'll take a picture of the brushes side by side once I get home. Both of them are labeled Swissvax Wheel. I believe the SV detail brush is specifically labeled Detail (I can't be sure though, as I haven't bought one... yet)
yeh the SV interior brush says interior on it i believe. i'd check but my garage is like a five minute drive.
I really don't think there's any difference between the brushes except for the name and size. Other than that, they're all made from the same materials.
Right. I just didn't know there could be a difference in the SV Wheel Brush specifically. Which do you prefer, Denzil? The larger one, or smaller one?
Here's the pictures for those that haven't seen the difference before. There is about 1/4" difference in diameter, which is about a 20% change. the 06 SV wheel brush is 1 1/8" diameter, and the 08 wheel brush is 1 3/8" diameter.
Cool pictures, I like the last one...like how the stem is all faded out and you focused on the number, very cool :thumb:
maybe the 06 is a detail brush not a wheel brush..maybe they ran out of the larger red clips and had to run a production b/c suppliers were out and the lead time for the larger ones was too long. anyways if they do make different sizes that would be SWEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!! i have a bunch so i will go inspect and get back to you guys.. i wish they had 2,4,6,8 and 10 would be the painters brush. i wish they had a set like that i would buy 5!!!!!!!! best brushes hands down
