A quick question... Will using p21s gel to clean wheels strip off the SV Autobahn which they have on them? Thanks for any input.
I believe so. I think P21S is probably as strong as you can get without using a acid base. Autobahn just makes it easier to clean the wheels with soap and water.
P21S will definetly strip the wax/sealant off of yours wheels. You can even try putting water on it after and checking out the beading, or lack there of.
choopy.. maybe if you let it sit for 20-30 mins.. but i get great beading when i used autobahn and p21s after.. 4 months later and a wash every 1-2 weeks the wheels still were beading! i never let p21s sit for 20-30 mins i find a quick spray and spray of a sv wheel brush then agitation and rinse is all that is needed.. for really bad wheels i spray the sv brush a second time and go over the wet wheel and the p21s spreads like magic..and the results are perfect. this whole spray and let it sit for 30 mins did nothing for me except witness dry p21s on my wheels and require another full spray and agitation anyways..seems like a waste
any wheel cleaner will remove protection on wheels. Just use soap and water to clean your wheels if you want the protection to still be there.
I agree with this. I know I'm no expert but its been my experience that it isn't necessary to use wheel and tire cleaners on your wheels every time you wash your own well cared for vehicle. If you put a good sealant/wheel wax on your wheels, barels too, then all you need to do is wash them with your regular car wash soap and the brake dust comes off very easily. I happen to use Klasse but that is just my preference and then wash the wheels normally for most of the summer season. BMW's are notorious for brake dust and I still don't have a problem with it sticking. Anyway, that's just my observation. G
