    Hello,

Patient: well kept white clearcoat, light swirls, some very light scratches
Gear: rotary, black soft polishing pads, SC Cleaner Fluid Medium, SV Cleaner Fluid, Meg's Paint Cleaner.

Question: will those above do in removing light scratches and some swirls? I want to avoid serious cutting and multi-step correction, I want to try to manage with what I got - how do you see it?

I do have some Farecla G3 but i don't intend using it. Shall I go for it and buy something to polish/correct apart from what I have? Do I need some light cutting pads as well?

I'll be happy to hear your opinion.

    Thanks,

    G.

I would grab a light cutting pad and some Menzerna PO203S Power Finish. It has decent cut for getting out light scratches and swirls and finishes really well. It's my go-to onestep polish :)

Orange ones are those light cutting, right? Unfortunately I can't get Menz here in PL. SV CF Medium won't do?

Different brands go with different colors for different cuts -- it can get quite confusing sometimes. I've been blessed enough to really only work with Menzerna polishes so I can't really speak for much else.

Power Finish w/ the green Uber pad is a killer combo. They key to avoiding micromarring and hologramming/buffer trails is to finish at speed 1 with little to no pressure.

If we're talking about Lake Country pads, I'd say orange is actually pretty aggressive. It'll finish down "okay," but corrects quite well.

I see you're in Poland - if you have access to the UK versions of 3M pads (such as the ones sold on polishedbliss.co.uk), Power Finish plus a yellow 3M UK pad is another great combo you could try. For the light swirling you're describing, it's what I'd try first.

OK, I think I found a good pad, coming back to compound - can you recommend me some 3M product instead of Power Finish?

    I was thinking about Ultrafina:

    Or Extra Fine:

What would you recommend from those two, or maybe another one? What pad? Light cutting or soft finishing one?

I would recommend 3M Extra Fine Compound with a polishing foam pad, that should take care of most of the defects your up against..your luck you can get those polishes locally, I have to order them all the way from the UK

Thank you, I was hoping for your feedback. While doing the seach i found that you were using 3M with good results. So, Extra Fine it is then.

What polishing speed shoud I adjust?

If your using 3M Extra Fine Compound, you can use 1500 RPM or between 1200 and 1500 RPM that should do the trick :thumb:

    Which pad are you using?

I wanted to use black polishing one as you suggested, I have also yellow light cutting one.

Well if that's the case, I would go with the 3M Black Polishing pad at about 1500RPM, that should do the trick...oh first spread the polish at lower RPM's and then work your way up, hope this helps :peace:
