    Phil-

Have you used this? Thoughts? This is a matte gray wrap.

I need it for my Gt3. Thanks

    wow, amazing GT3!

As for Opaque, know few people in the UK that have used it and say the whole system (Pre-Cleaner and wax) is great. I have used Insignis on my matt black vinyl and talked to Ketil who said it is ok to use it, but will deepen the look a bit. I would say if you want a matte paint/vinyl specific wax then SV is the only one that has anything out as they worked with Lamborghini to create it for the new matte paints they came out with for the Merci.

Exactly what I have heard. You need to bring some of those goodies from your collection up this way ;)

I do not want to alter the look at all, just protect what is on it. As sad as it sounds, I want it to bead!

Like I have said to anyone in the area, if you want to try anything...just got to come by....nothing is really off limits other then products I only have small samples of.

I dont get to make it out to Cary/Raleigh area much anymore.

if sv opaque was designed for matt paint, wont it react differently on matt vinyl

afaik matt vinyl does not have the same texture as actual matt paint

It is for both paint and vinyl.

you can use the Opaque, but I can confirm that for you.

    Swissvax states:

The answer would be yes but only if it is a true matt film... most (cheaper) films actually have an imprint in them which gives the appearance of a matt finish but is actually based on a standard film... if you use it on that the wax will build up in the imprint with disastrous effects...

as Phil stated make sure its not a textured vinyl

durability of SW Opague is not that great (1-2 months) so does need topping up frequently

The SV Pre-Cleaner Opaque and SV Quick Finish Opaque should be fine for cleaning and quick detailing.

Another option if the SV products are not suitable is the CG Clear Seal, we supply a local company that does vinyl wraps and it works great on the 3M matt vinyl that they are using. CG Clear Seal is designed for clear bras and vinyl, it had UV protectant and is one of the best QD's that I have used.
