Hey guys! Big fan of your products and you're work on customers cars! Unfortunately, I live very far away from you guys, but wish I could take my car in for a detail one day :worship2: But let me get to the point. I have a 2013 Subaru STi with the Dark Metallic Grey paint job. I have some nicks, rock chips, and scratches, some deep some just clearcoat. But that's just comes with the ownership of a new car of course. I love washing my car, but sometimes I just can't get off all the grime, either due to me being too tired and missing spots, or simply because my technique and suds just don't get the job done. I'm looking for a inexpensive kit (under $150) such as Gilmour Foam Gun Kit. Would this help get the job done more efficiently and with less effort? I don't have a pressure washer or anything. Would this work with a regular hose, or do I need to buy something else? Thanks guys!
If you can, invest in a Dr. ColorChip kit (there other brands too); do your touchup; have clear film protection installed. Phil, and others can coach you on a starter kit to get you going. Detailing kits: Detailers Domain
I think i'm just going to stick with my rock chips and scratches for a while, until something serious happens. I was going to invest in a clearbra kit when I originally took delivery, but I feel like it's not worth the hassle to be honest. What do you think about the glamour kit?
Anything Phil* puts together is well thought-out and done so through experience. You have many options to pursue; Phil is always a save bet. *Phil owns both this forum and Detailer's Domain. I've never been misguided by Phil; he neither oversells or undersells.
^+1000 Phil is great to deal with. I randomly visit his shop and he or his staff always have time for my questions or even show me how to use the product.
