Inspired by this thread...What's the strangest thing you've found inside a car you've detailed?

Strange could mean anything. Disgusting, fascinating, or just plain weird...should be good for a laugh.

these are mostly from my "real job" detailing at the bimmer dealership:

    loaded handguns
    large amounts of hollow points
    used condoms
    bloody rags
    empty coke bags
    full coke bags
    bags of weed
    glass pipes
male stripper costumes (firefighters gear, naughty police officer gear, assless chaps, empy whipped cream cans...the works all in the dudes trunk...at least it was an E46 M3...)
    female "personal massage" devices
    high clearance level military/NSA ID's
about 10K in cash (one large stack of hundreds)

i know there's more...i'll edit my post when i think of more to add.

    more edits:
more or less pharmacies in some peoples center consoles (percocets, oxycontin, valiums, xanax)
    viagra scripts
herpes medication (forget what its called)
ash trays full of roaches (not the bug)

    enjoy!

    Wow D&B...you weren't kiddin. :sorry:

How about property deeds and abstracts, last will and testiment, blue prints for construction, cargo area in an SUV full of Goodwill donation items, recycling bins (full), lingerie (I hope it belonged to a female), bank deposit bag (felt full), expensive golf bag clubs and shoes, batting cage equipment dufflebag, camping equipment.

Not even going to bring up the :gross: stuff.

I haven't been doing this for customers for very long. So far, my strangest item is an empty liquor bottle. Which I guess isn't all that strange, but made me wonder...why is it empty in a car? It wasn't in any of the cars I've posted on the 'net...

Lots of bank receipts containing account information in one of the ones I worked on. Perscription drugs of some sort in another (I didn't look to see what they were).

But nothing like drugs, blood, or bullets...not yet, at least...

I realize that most of the stuff I run across isn't as strange as some. I just can't understand people not removing at least their valuables and important documents, especially after being asked to. Maybe it is a way of paying me a compliment by trusting me,dunno?

    This isn't detailing related.. but

When I was 10 or so I left a tupperware container with unshelled hard boil eggs from easter inside a side-compartment in the back of our minivan. No one ever rode in the back of the van.. 7 months later.. on the way home from picking up my grandparents from the airport I found the container. I didn't remember putting it there until i opened it. I think i was the only one in the van that didn't vomit. :)

All I found so far was a French Fry dating back to the early 90s. Still looked fresh despite being as hard as a rock though...

I will. Rockstar energy drink is gross!!!:gross:
First of all it overcarbonated, unlike Redbull that they tried to clone...it also has a very nasty taste to it, reminds me of unbrushed teeth in the morning, and I HATE that smell!!!
    Hope I didn't affend anyone.

I once found 2 bottles of Nyquil cough syrup and an aersol can stashed underneath the passenger seat in a brown paper bag. I didnt think anything of it at the time, and when the owner picked up his car I had that bag with the nyquil cough syrup and aersol can neatly placed in his trunk. He opened the trunk and got this very flustered look... It was at that point I realized I found his "stash" of goodies to get high off of.

I felt like an idiot afterwards, I should have put the pieces together as soon as I found it.

You don't want to know the dumb stuff the gov. does to try to keep secrets secret. Yet all you need is one numb skull to leave their ID in he wrong place or a doc. somewhere and all is for naught:crasy:

Yeah, I'm gonna bring this topic back up from the dead, because it's too funny to NOT bring back.

I have done a bunch of minivans and family cars so nothing really strange, just lots and lots of junk. Although I did do one van for one of my dad's co-workers that was FULL of junk. When I was done it filled 3 or 4 large paper grocery sacks. I was just reaching into the seat pockets and blindly pulling out stuff, there was so much. And then I pulled out a pair of panties. Presumably, they belonged to the owner's 14-year old daughter. I have no clue what they were doing there, and I am going to hope that it was a completely innocent reason.

Yeah, go on with your "holy thread revival batman" comments and stuff.
