I use a Daimer steamer and have been very pleased with it. I got the continuous fill so I can refill on the go without having to wait for the steamer to build up pressure and heat. The Daimer can be used for many other things besides auto detailing as well. It is totally worth the investment.
I mentioned in another thread our VX 5000 with which we are very happy. This is a commercial unit at a reasonable price. We did alot of research before we bought this one and are very impressed with it. Steve, the owner of the company we bought from provided excellent CS. I would suggest you check out this site. Steam Cleaner - Steam Cleaners - Vapor Cleaner - Commercial Steam Cleaners It isn't continuous fill and the site talks about that. We have not had a problem with it running out of water with a variety of tasks and lengthy periods of work. That is of course my $0.02. Others may feel differently. Here is a pic of ours in its storage place. No matter what unit you get, as long as it's a good one, I'm sure you will be very happy you got a steamer. G
I've actually got a call in for him already. His store is in MO where I live. So it's a good unit?Any limitations on it for what we do that you've found?
I really believe it's a good quality unit. Nothing flimzy (sp?) about it in my opinion. I found a number of people on other detailing sites that had them and no one seemed to have anything bad to say that I can recall. I'm sure there are probably some limitations in some aspect of its usage but to date I haven't found anything. My wife loves it for the house. I've only used it 4 times I think on interiors so not alot of experience with it there but what I have has been all positive. I'm still finding things to use it for. Hope that helps. G
how would it work for detailing? carpets, cleaning all interior panel and leather? Either a extractor or vapor steamer? Which would you choose not a bad price either.. need help.:applause2:

I use a THERMA-KLEEN VAPOR STEAMER it is the best i have used so far I had 5 before this one and one of them is the VX-5000 which is also good machine but runs out of water to fast and does not hold the steam pressure or temp. that long I do use it for small jobs but my vapor is the one i use the most they both have great customer service which is a big plus But than again depends on how much you want to spend cause the vapor is more costly than the vx so you would have to decide Here is who sells the vapor an the vx too there is a video hope this info. helps you if you need to i will answer any other questions i can detailing steamer, therma kleen steam machine, Vapor Chief steamer Kleen Car|professional detailing training|equipment
My latest toy for Leather cleaning Using dry steam vapour: a system that produces a high temperature, low moisture vapour, that contains only 5% to 6% water and is much less dense than air. A steam vapour system is equipped to safely produce thousands of gallons of live dry steam using only about 1.5 quarts of water per hour. It is mess free with temperatures hot enough to kill bacteria and germs, emulsify grease and oil as well as other surface contaminants. These units are best suited for light cleaning (covered leather or fabric upholstery) maintenance, and spot removal Apply a cleaner to a sponge, work up a foam and apply to the surface, then pass the steamer just above the top of the area just cleaned and lightly agitate with a micro fibre towel, then wipe dry. Steam vapour helps to emulsify the grime, while the foam encapsulates it. Steam when it cools turns to condensate (water) which helps to re-hydrate the hide Steamax Dry Steam Cleaner - easy to use, and light weight, the quick heat steamer converts 2.3 quarts of water into 1,118 gallons of dry steam vapour. Is the steamer as good as an extractor for carpets? No, but a vapour steam cleaner will clean carpets if they are not terribly soiled or worn. If they are badly soiled or worn, they should be properly cleaned with a heated extractor system first and then gone over with the vapour stream cleaner to sanitize the carpeting and remove the chemicals left behind.
