So I am looking to buy a steamer within the next week or so and just had a few questions for you steamer owners to see if you could answer. First and foremost I should tell you what I am going to be using the steamer for. Since I have a wash bay with a hot water pressure washer I am not going to need the steamer for any exterior cleaning. So I will be using my steam cleaner for strickly interior cleaning and at most light exterior cleaning (cleaning dust of engine, grease in door jambs) So my list of questions goes as followed. Also I want to keep the price range around $1000.00. I contacted Kevin from Kleen Car and he doesent sell the vapor master either. 1. Is a continuous flow steamer nessisary for what I am going to be using it for. 2. I was looking at this model... any input? Commercial Vapor Steam Cleaner: Daimer KleenJet PRO PLUS 300CS
kevin does sell the vapor master but you want the vapor chief but it is going to be pricey unless you get a used one. i have one an it is the best i have ever used an i used 7 different ones so far. http://www.1car-detailing-training.com/vapor-chief-steam-cleaner-p-37.html
Here's the one I got, It's well liked among detailers. Steam Cleaner - Steam Cleaners - Vapor Cleaner - Commercial Steam Cleaners
I visited Kevin a few months ago to test out the Therma Kleen unit and I was very impressed. The unit is built very well and gets really freakin hot steam even at low pressure! Also if there is a problem with it Kevin will PERSONALLY take back the machine and fix it as Vapor Chief will not let someone sell their machines that is not trained in repairing them! The only thing is that its really expensive, now I kept trying to rationalize the purchase but couldnt do it. Still the Ferrari of steamers IMO.
I have this one here. I really like it as it is an extractor, vacuum and steamer all in one...great for interiors. If you have grout in your home, it'll blow your mind what it'll do with that!! the other one I considered is the one sstg recommends although I like the triple use mine has. No problems with it for over a year now although once it stopped working b/c the hose got unplugged a little bit...nice simple remedy there, LOL. Seriously, I think I'm the only guy on DB with this one but I love mine. The carpets come out feeling soft..it's so cool.
I contacted Kevin about the vapor master and he no longer sells it. Also I dont really need the Vapor Cheif its too expensive for me. Thanks for the link! thats a good price on that. I might have to look at that one. LOL, yeah i have tried to rationalized it too, but $3000CAD is just not worth it too me. If i dident have a wash bay and a good pressure washer maybe but I have them no its just not worth it too me. Richy thats good to know because I have heard of the Desardo having reliability issues. But a year with no issues is good. :giggle: make sure to keep it plugged in.:giggle:
Kevin still sells the Vapor Chief. He just doesent sell the vapor master (VX5000) anymore. He is currently looking for a replacment.
No he said he had troubles getting them or something. To be hounest I dont know the full story behind it because he just sent me a quick e-mail in responce to my question about the unit.
