    Hmm, looks like it could be useful but the Brinkmann is half the price.

    wow. thats a steal for that price..
    im sure its overkill for finding defects. this are same wattage bulbs thats in luxury cars so you can imagine brightness leve. 3200 lumens from 35W bulb

    I bought one. I'm going to look at Lowe's when I go pick it up to see the 5W one as well..I read it's only $24 at Lowe's.

    5W led? 15W HID is "smallest HID flashlight iknow off

    Misha..the 5W is LED, not HID. Big, big difference in brightness. I saw the other one when I was on Amazon. they're actually cheaper at Lowe's. I am stoked to get my hands on the HID...they say early February delivery.

    The bulb is 8000K color temperature, maybe not the best for highlighting defects.

    Even Walmart has these for 29.99 IIRC. I saw them around christmas time, but never investigated them further.

    Hmm, 8000K is definitely not ideal. Probably would consider it if it were close to the 4000-5000K range.
