So a while back I went paintballing and for some reason when I came back to my car there was paintball splatter in the parking lot and some of it was splattered onto my b pillars. I figured a few washes and it should disappear but.. NOPE. So far I have tried megs APC, 1z deep plastic cleaner and cockpit premium. What can I do about it? I was thinking about putting 303 over it and seeing if it would mask it.

Locally I have access to meguiar's, gloss it, adams, and the HD the sponsers of autopia I believe.

if you just want to cover it up/hide it, i would suggest you get a small bottle of Vinylex. spray just a little on a MF towel and lightly apply it to the whole area. let it dry a little so that it can soak in and then give it a light buff with the towel. should help conceal it more so that it looks more flush but will not fix your problem.

    just a suggestion

Try using some heat from a heat gun or hairdryer. Just be careful.

What would happen when I use a hair dryer/heat gun? Would it start to foam out?

Thanks just wanted to find out before I start.

You need to try an amazing product I've been recently playing with. It has a horrible name, IMO, but it's called Krud Kutter. It gets overspray off surfaces and can be used to remove graffiti as well. It has a ton of uses actually and can remove tar from paint as well. It is cheap (gallon for $12) and mixed at 1:1 is a very strong solution. It is available at Home Depot and Lowes among other places. (often in the paint department). It is also great at removing stains from carpet (use straight for that) including the horrible red stains that are so very difficult to remove. Try this out, I promise it will blow you away with what it can do...it sure did for me!

I think heat would bring the color back out. I know on really faded plastics you can bring the black back out to a respectable level with a heat gun. It looks like it basically got discolored.

about this Krud Kutter, can you tell me if it is as abbrasive as meg's super degreaser? how effective is it at removing over spray on paint? I have been using 3m adhesive remover up to this point and it works great, if this stuff works anything like that I am all over it for that low price. does the Krud Kutter cause any bleaching of carpets if you are using it straight?

    thanks

Check out their website HERE. I have not used it yet on overspray but have read it is effective for it. I would spray it on straight and let it dwell for a few minutes and then power wash or steam. Using it straight on carpet is no problem. HERE is a thread I did trying to take out an old red stain that would not come out with any other product I had. HERE is another thread where I was using it on different things, including removing glue from a clear bra. I have never used the Megs product so I cannot compare it for you. I can just highly recommend this one...and for the cost, you can't lose!
