SS: Volvo 740

    Just a color correction job..
    The paint was sticky as hell, tried every polish I had!
    Ended up using SIP and a Scholl polishing pad..

    Products used:

    Wash:
    Nilfisk HD-wash alcalic degreaser
    CG Citrus wash and gloss
    Green chenille mitt
    Gritguard bucket
    Dehydrator towel
    Riccardo clay
    ONR lube

    Wheels:
    Nilfisk HD-wash alcalic degreaser
    Swissvax wheel brush

    Paint:
    Menzerna SIP + Scholl polishing pad

    Tools:
    Makita 9227 with a 3m backing plate
    3m Sungun


    Car at arrival:

    Claybar looked like hell after the whole car, had to bin it..

    After wash and clay:

    Bonnet had a paint job..

    Here is a test spot I did about 3-4 months ago, the scratches was deep!

    Sikaflex was removed with a Olfa blade, and some Dupont thinner.

    The polish turns to gum..

    The bonnet got 3 rounds of foamed wool and sip, and finished lsp ready :) Paint was really hard..

    I would love to get my hands on an old Volvo like this and completely restore it!!!

    I have a similar Volvo, but in a much nicer shape. It´s from 1985 but only with 9000 miles on the clock.

    Oh and btw, nice job!
