I would like to thank Nica for his rotary videos, they taught me how to use a rotary effectively and to respect it. I would like to thank Asphalt Rocket for the tips on a combo that has corrected my car to the point where I am astonished. I never thought my car would come back. Almost 4 years of drive through car washes, sometimes twice weekly. I only got serious about detailing in the last month and a half. I have learned so much from all of you.

My first go at a rotary was a smashing success. No burnt paint or clear coat, no destroyed finishes, no thermonuclear war! I made it!

As I mentioned in another post, the Concorso was put on hold. I couldn't see using a $250 wax when it was raining out, but as luck would have it my 5050 came in yesterday. Prime time to try it out! Oh yeah, the rain stopped after the first layer of wax was applied..lol..it cleared up, the roads dried and the sun came out about an hour before I pulled it out of the warehouse!

    Products used:

PBW Slick Suds & Wash (in foam gun and wash bucket)
    Mothers Clay
    PBW QD as clay lube
PBW APC on the wheels and arches
CG Bare Bones on the wheel wells
PBW Natural Look on the tires
Menz 106 on a white pad via the FLEX rotary
Menz 85RD on a blue pad via the FLEX rotary
    IPA wipe down
2 layers of CG JS109 on a black pad via the FLEX DA
2 layers of CG 5050 Limited Edition via red CCS foam applicator
DJ Red Mist after all was done
    The Rag Shack Gladiator MF's

This, my trunk lid and spoiler, were always the worst part of my car. Scratched all to hell and beat up looking. Not any more.

This is a great picture. It is not an actual shot of my hand, but actually a reflection in my passenger side quarter panel.

Thanks to everyone for all their help, I could not have made any improvement without this site!

True. I still kick myself in the ass for not starting this level of car care 4 years ago when the car was brand new.

looks great. may i ask why you chose to use 50/50 as your LSP rather than the SV? i just love how SV waxes look topped over JS109, especially on black cars.

It was raining out when I was detailing the car, so I decided to let the $250 SV wait a week and used the $50 5050 instead..lol..I wanted a good bit of weather to really asses the Concorso. Of course, after the first layer of wax the sun came out.

I did the badging, front fascia, hood, brakes and interior trim as well.

    That looks great!

I cringe to think of what I did before... and sadly what I still do due to lack of funds for the proper equipment... I really think the foam cannon and pressure washer a key step to a proper wash.
