German tuner speedART has a new tuning kit for the Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid. The speedHYBRID 450 takes total output on the hybrid SUV up to 450 PS (331 kW) and 570 Nm of torque by providing and additional 70 PS (69 bhp) to the V6 compressor engine. Performance is improved by a solid half-second on the 0 to 100 km/h sprint, now down to 6 seconds as compared to the standard Cayenne S Hybrid's 6.5. Top speed is also bumped up 10 km/h to 252 km/h (157 mph). Also part of the package is a sport exhaust system with a sound switch for the two 100mm tail pipes. The switch provides for more acoustic growl from the V6. speedART offers 22-inch LSC-FORGED wheels too instead of the standard model's 21-inch rims. The 9.5x22 front rims come with 275/30 ZR22 sized tires while the 11x22 rear wheels are fitted with 315/30 ZR22s. For the suspension speedART offers an electronic lowering kit or lowering springs. In the cabin a turbo pressure gauge is added to the instrument panel which also gets a new blue rev counter. speedART is also working on a set of aerodynamic body kits too with further details to follow. nice ride, poor choice on rims. The Porsche Hybrid has got to seriously be costly but it looks good overall.
that's like some dirty south atl stuff right there LoL. 22's are huge . . . . . but i guess perfect size for a suv. If it was 22's on a car that would be a completely different story.
true but you have to remember that everything now days is really about hybrids and if a particular company isn't they surely will be heading in that direction. I was surprised to finally see some videos of the 335 diesel. Kind of tripped me out as i forgot BMW released a diesel. I'm not really sure what is better though hybrid or diesel?
hybrid technology is just so stupid...you are NOT SAVING ANYTHING by buying a hybrid. First of all it costs more to begine with, and second, the amount of money you will save on fuel you will spend replcacing that enormous battery, which is like $6-10k. It is just not worth it...
Actually, there is more being done around diesel than hybrid. Not in th US but it is coming. Where I am from, Belgium, for years the majority of all new cars sold were diesels. In the UK for the first time ever this year, more than 50% of new cars sold were diesels. We are talking Mercedes S-class, CLS, Audi A8, BMW 7-series, etc. Apart from high performance exotics, everything is available in diesel. Ever seen a Jaguar diesel?
I saw a test recently where a Volvo V70 diesel was actually a bit more fuel efficient than a Prius in REAL WORL conditions. Amazing those modern these, aren't they?
It is the political landscape of modern america with the hand wringing libs("We need to like save the planet umkay") I am ground zero for this mindset(SF Bay Area). In europe when it comes to all things transportation they just "Git er dun" and make the car that best suites the need at the time.
