Ok, I usually dont care about my suburban enought to detail it myself, as long as its clean (its a tow pig for my toys)..... sadly I just take it to my freinds carwash and have his guys clean it. Anyway, I was bored and decided to clean it and did not want to waste a bunch of prima nero on my 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's, if anyone is familar with tires, they are very knobby and tire dressing looks un natural due to the tread. So I put Megs Hyperdressing 4:1 on the tires. I was pretty impressed. I sprayed it directly on the tires, used a foam block to spread it evenly around; soaked in real nice, very little streaking and dried to the touch. It was a nice matte finnish and did not look silly. I am happy to say it looks very natural..... pretty happy with that. And the Hyper Dressing is still going strong ( 2 monthes) on my moms MKX...... if you are familiar with those cars the they have a large amount of plastic on the rockers. Just thought I would share with those who have not ever used it, or are looking for a inexpensive verstile dressing product, Hyperdressing is inexpensive, dilutible and has a very nice finish and decent durability.
That's good to know.. I have Nero but have never used it on tire rubber... How does it look ? and does it last ?
Nero is a awesome product on tires...... I use that or VRT on most cars, and my personal car. Both have very good durabilty. Maybe a month, or 2 - 3 solid washes, depending on if you use wheel cleaner and etc. etc. Low streaking, no sling, you have to let it soak for about 10 minutes, but then you buff it down with a cloth and it looks very natural, slight sheen; but overall a very natural looking tire dressing. Prima Nero has more working time then CG VRT...... if you are looking for comparisions. VRT is a wipe on and work it while it dries. Once Nero is on the tire, you work it and walk away, then buff it out. But I have also apply it to a applicator pad, I find it works better then spraying it directly on the tire. But honestly it is very runny and I find CG VRT is a better dedicated tire dressing........ but it depends on my mood and the car im working on.
