:shakehead: OK if this is not allowed someone Please tell me. However i will not say the company there is a detailing company at the chicago auto show and OHHH MY GOSHHHH :yikes:. spiderwebs scratches Everything that paint was TERRIBLE on all their cars literally none of them were any good just shiny i was soo dissapointed i'd NEVER show my work like that but hey that's just me
I went to an international auto show today and every car there was riddled with swirls. The worst ones were the Porsche Panamera (sp?)... ugly brown color, a black Boss Mustang, and all the other dark colored cars. Even the white Porsches were very noticeably swirled. And the star of this pathetic show was the R8 V10 Sypder, in red, a decent amount of swirls on the car, and ZOMG the rear filler panel was horrible!!!!! The funny part is that some of the salesmen asked if I was trying to look at the "sparkels" in the paint (I was using the flash light on my phone to see the swirls) and I said "no, but have you seen these swirl marks??" they just kinda smirk and walk away lol. One guy said the lot attendant kid was wiping the cars with glass cleaner and a microfiber (the same kind I use on interiors...). Made me sad.
Here's a few pics I managed on my cell phone. There was A LOT more, but I didn't need evidence of everything lol. The one below I believe was the Mustang. Tail light of the R8 V10, you can see swirls on the light and paint. And the rear filler panel....
Ouch nasty stuff.. Here is one from the Baltimore MotorTrend show. Not as noticeable but the shot was taken by a non-detailer taking a picture of the car not the swirls.
Argh. Reminds me of when I went to the Louisville Concours...there were some really nice cars there, ALL of them swirled quite badly. I guess I can kinda understand not wanting to polish an 80-year old car (though I've seen it done with excellent results) but I can see why someone wouldn't want it done, with the age of the paint and all. But there were some nice newer cars there, including a couple Pagani Zonda F roadsters that were just being wiped down with rags (this event took place outdoors might I add)...I can only imagine the condition of the paint. It made me cringe just watching them do it.
^^ I think they are SSR's they used to look decent when the outside barrels were polished the owner went and painted them flat black
yeah, that is just nasty. They look more like Jlines to me........ but who cares, they are ugly and have taken deep dish to reversed dayton level.
