Soldiers wife contacted me about her Husbands jeep and wanting it detailed for when he gets home. Now where I come from, women worry about interior and men exterior. So initially she was more concerned about getting the interior done, which it was real dusty as she had been driving it around with out the top. But I talked her into my full detail which includes interior, but also clay, paint cleaner and sealant along with engine detail. And needless to say she was overly impressed! Engine: Pre-soak with Zep citrus and agitated with various brushes. The spray and dried with compressed air. Dressed w/mix of Meg HD and White Pearl. Wheels: Cleaned with AG CWC and various brushes, dried and got a coat of JW AJT Tires/Wells: Both cleaned with Zep Purple and agitated with brushes. Dried and dressed with Meg HD/Pearl mixed Wash: Rinsed, pre-cleaned with Zep Citrus and LA Awesome APC for bugs. Agitated with Swissvax brush. Foamed and washed with LC sponge and pinnacle sponge. Vinyl top cleaned with Black Schmitt Rinsed Clay: Riccardo yellow and ONR, dried with Showroom WW Paint: PC 7424xp and 4in lc blue pad and Prima Amigo. Finished off with Powerlock. Buffed with Grey Showroom towels Plastic Windows: PC 7424 and 4in LC blue with JW Prime Strong Exterior Trim: Dressed with Showroom V2 trim dressing and LC applicator, buffed with MF Glass: Showroom FX glass cleaner 1:1, FX glass towel for initial wipe and blue huck towel for buff. Interior: Lots of Super 43 apc and MF's and brushes Dressed FX dressing and buffed for matte look Carpet vac and wiped down with carpet cleaner, seats wipe down with APC I removed the Spare to make sure to clean everything, it was treated like the other wheels and tires: Few random afters and some interior:
great job Mike, you should get a bottle of Showroom new grey and black dyes, they work great on the jeep plastic. Thank god the guy is coming home to see the new jeep
Nice turnaround!! I'm sure he'll be happy to see that his Jeep is in better than new condition after a proper detail.
