Well for us Canadians the iPhone was just released today, my wife has been bugging me to get her one. So today I phoned in and upgraded her cell phone. The plans are not as bad as I thought they would be, the phone alone wasn’t that bad either. Any who, I think that Rogers was very smart to get the iPhone in for Canadians, they will be laughing all the way to the bank with the iPhone. Oh I got the wife the 16G iPhone  you know me all in or nothing hahahahahaha. Well so who else is getting one? Come on I can't be the online one aranoia:
I've got the "old" iPhone, and don't see the need to "upgrade" to the new one. 3G is nice and so is the GPS, but we can take advantage of the new 2.0 upgrade as well. Walt Mosberg did an extensive test and he found that the battery life was even less in the new iPhone, which was a huge turn off for me.
I won't be getting one until Apple finishes their CDMA version for us Verizon customers which will still be a year or two down the road. Who knows, there may be better comparable phones by that time. I was just at Verizon and LG has a phone very similar to the iPhone and it's called the LG Dare. I think the previous LG model that was similar to the iPhone as well was the LG Voyager.
My girlfriend is actually in line for one right now, the line is three blocks long and isn't moving at all. It's getting so bad that the Mac store is just handing out free waters haha.
I might get one, I have a buddy who got on and got the hack for it so hes had it for months. They are cool phones, im hard on phones tough so we will see
I really don't see what the big deal is... and from all the reviews I've read.... they're just as expensive in the long run as the first phone which you pay the expense upfront for. Apple is not stupid and there is no way they aren't gonna come out on top.... phones are like oil prices. They set the prices and how you are going to pay for them and in the end... every one takes one up the butt!!! i like my blackberry curve
My g/f purchased one about 2 months ago. She's quite happy with it but I'm not planning on getting one any time soon. This is partly because I'd rather spend my cash on detailing supplies/bigger nozzles for my car and partly because I've got a miserable track record with taking care of my phone.
not getting one... I want to get the Tilt instead. i know a lot of folks can't use their phone right now because of the server overload... it's going to be an expensive paperweight for couple for days...
My update finally went through. So far I like the few applications I've downloaded. I'm not sure if I'm going to go to the 3G version or not. Right now it just doesn't seem worth it to me.
I will soon, you know me...being an apple fan boy and all. I am going to wait to see about that yellow screen issue. I dont know if it is an issue or part of the design. The iPhone blows the blackberry out of the water for web! I am going to get the My10 + 6GB of data. haha I learned from the first PS2, not to be an early adopter, no matter how much you love the company.
My wife has the Blackberry, wouldn't trade my iPhone for the world. Do not like it whatsover. iPhone all the way. The only thing I wish they would have improved on is the camera. It's downright CRAP on the iPhone. I had a SonyEricsson phone before and the pictures were so much better. Had a flash and everything!
Yea, I got a Blackberry I'm quite pleased with the Blackberry...but the wife insisted she had to have the phone, well what wife wants wife gets (within reason that is) what can I say I need to keep the wife happy...becuase if wife is happy that means I can continue on ordering all my heart desires when it comes to detailing that is :cheerl: Any who, the iPhone wasen't that much the plan dosen't bother me at all either but I'm curious to play with it...I've read good and bad thigns about the phone so I'm quite curious. But if it's anything like the Mac (not sure if it's fair to compare the two) it should be interesting :thumb: I was also told that Rogers is coming out with a new Blackberry should be intresting  Oh cell phones are quite the thing, I mean every week/month/year they are coming out with something better, always something new with them. So I don't get too exited about a cell phone to be honest, I'm quite pleased with the my Blackberry so far
BTW...i've got decent size fingers and I can't seem to type for sh!t with the iPhone, that's a major downside for me.
Yes, that's one thing that I'm interested on experimenting with. The screen is quite sensative and I assumed that if you got big hands and fingers you would have a tough time typing with the iphone. But I've also been told once you get the hang of it, you don't notice it
are u seroius the Iphone the thing it self is stupid beacuse apple always make somthing a whole lot better so quickly u don;t even notice esspically i expect some hidden charges from those guys well what do i know il have to buy one myself to see if it actually worth it
