...and Michael Dell was leaving the office at about the same time, we walked down the stairs together. Very nice man, by the way! He walked outside and I am curious as all hell to see what he's driving these days. Nothing less but a black on black Maybach 62. First thing I wanted to ask him is who details it and what he uses, man, that thing was looking gorgeous. I should have slipped him a sample of Jetseal. Hahahahaha...
Really Micheal Dell that's wicked :awesome: I agree with FMINUS, that's what cell phones are all about buddy hahaha just teasing. FMINUS - you had dinner at Bill Gates house, wow that's wicked. What was the ocasion? How did you land that dinner buddy...do share please
This was about 6-8 years back when I visited my buddy's house in WA. He had relocated to WA to work for MS. He was invited to dinner there so I couldnt pass up the chance so I went along. The members of the house wore these wristbands that when you entered the room it would the pics in the room would change to whatever it was preset at, so would the temp, and also music too. It was nuts, its kind of like the Comfort Access on my M5 but this was like 8 years ago!
Sounds like a wicked experiance, hard to pass such oppurtunities I gree with you. You just never know what may come out of such oppurtinities I've met a bunch of developers through dinner as well, friends of a friend...funny how the world seems to revolve around who you know and who they know
Wow, that is insane FMINUS! Great opportunity though, damn, cannot beat that! I was thinking about whipping out my iPhone for a pic, but I would have looked like a fool. My parents had dinner at Dell's house a few times, apparantly it's a nice place! We lived right down the street from him so I would always ride my bike around there.
That's sick... You should really try to cross his path again and have a business card handy (always have them on you!) and make small talk about his ride, tell him what you do and offer your expertise!!! That would be a tight client.. One of those clients can multiply just by word of mouth to their peers
Well, since I work for the guy it might be a bit odd. If he knew I was into detailing, he'd probably put some kind of monitor program on my PC at work and see that really I was more often on DB than any work-related site, HAH!
I absolutely love it. I was disappointed by the battery life at first, but then I learned that leaving the WiFi on sucks more battery than FMINUS' M5 sucks premium fuel. I get three days of standy with it, and that is including 6 hours of continues use.
I really really want one. I have become a Mac fan after owning this wonderful macbook pro. Hopefully the iPhone will be here by Christmas. I don't know how much longer I can wait. FMINUS' V10 only sucks up a ton of fuel if he has the power button on. Otherwise he is restricted to a lowly 400HP. I think that the throttle is only allowed to open something like 80% without the button on. I like how he owns 2 of my dream cars.
I detail cars for people that I work with... Yeah, you'd be screwed on the db action..lol "Sorry Access Denied"
I'm the same way as MotorCity, I've done quite a bit of vehicles from co-workers and I circulate all my details to my co-workers...one of my supervisors is starting to tease me as to how much time I spend on DB Forum but funny thing is that when I'm on the forum my supervisor is on the forum as well hahaha.
Oh, absolutely, I pretty much have only done cars for people at work. But to go up to the CEO and slip him a business card, man, I'd have to grow myself some larger balls to do that!!!
haha that is why we have the appear off line option in your userCP That is a very ballsy move, but it could be very rewarding to work on a 62. Is Marginal Benefit >> Marginal cost? haha wow I have been doing school work for too long.
you know what would be funny is if you went to his house and saw that he didnt even use a dell computer
