This silver evo had it all: swirls, rds, tar, repainter hood... what a pleasant surprise. I only had one day to do this car: we did a couple wash to start engine cleaning wheels clay one step polish (owner didn't want more) prewax cleanser wax Product used: wash: CG cws CG clay+lube P21 taw/wheel clean CG grime reaper (4:1) polish: mother metal polish menzerna 106 ff on CG and LC white pad makita Prepsol windows: CG window trim/plastic: black wow CG fade to black LSP: Zymol hd prewax cleanser Zymol glasur After washing the car a couple time I was surprised of how smooth was the paint and asked the owner if he had clay the car before. he said no... I pulled the car inside turned the hallogene on and: the smooth feeling was due to an old coat of sealant and the car had so many tiny tar, sap, rust spot that bake in to paint... It took me almost an hour of clay to remove everything! with an aggressive bar. after that I taped the car and did a prepsol wipe to get the paint ready for polish. The paint had a bunch of swirls and rds but overall wasn't too bad so after doing a test panel I decided to compromise correction for a better finish (only had time to do a one step) looking at the test panel 106 on a white pad remooved 90% of the defects (surprised) so I decided to go with that combo. once done the owner treated me with burgers and hotdogs bbq (some of the best I ve had by the way) so I decided to do him a favor and pulled out Zymol hd cleanser.big mistake! my arm still hurts. this product needs to be remove right away and if you miss a spot it become rock solid and take a lot to remove but give a nice dry look to the paint. then applied zymol glassur (love the looks on silver and lightcolored paint) by hand. finished up with the trim, dressings and window. the car came out really nice the owner was really happy. please enjoy the pictures: some of the before: 50/50 shots and paint correction before/afters
