I have been using AG bodywork shampoo for some time and always dilute the solution with AG APC if the car is very dirty.

If I am going to do a 1 time detailing service, why not just use a harsher detegent like APC mix or even dish washing shampoo since i will be claying, polishing and appling LSP on the car. Will there be any problem?

Yes, but mix in some shampoo for lubrication. Dish washing shampoo isn't too great because it can break down paint somehow and discolor trim over time.

mb43 is correct. Although you generally want a stronger solution to break down existing wax, sealant, etc. on the car you need lubrication so you don't further induce damage to the paint.

Dish washing detergent dries out moldings over time and turns them gray. The detergent also has minor abrasives in it which isn't any good for your paint either...Just my 2cents...:thumb:

I add 3 oz of MS SGS to my foam cannon. Removes all LSPs, even sealants!
