The Master Blaster Black tank scratches really easily and will always look that way unless one corrects the paint each time after use. The marks on this one look like what happens when the 12awg power cord rubs on it or its coiled and stuck under the handle like I do mine. Going on 4 years I think with mine and the scratches on the outside have had no affect on the awesome power it produces without fail.. Dan F
