    Seat Leon protection detail
Yesterday I did a protection detail on a friends Seat Leon, I had done an enhancement detail on this car previously but unfortunately it hasn’t really be looked after since being done. She wanted the car cleaning up to take to a local VAG meeting.

Started by giving the car a spray with orange pre wash which was left to dwell before being jet washed off, then a thick coating of foam made up of a strong mix of Valet pro hp neutral snow foam and Meg`s hyper wash

Gaps and badge’s agitated using a soft detailing brush

Whilst this did its stuff I cleaned the wheels using the bilberry wheel cleaner and various wheel brushes and the noodle wash mitt, they where then given a coat of tardis

This was then blasted off with the pressure washer, and then the van was given another coat of snowfoam and washed using Meg’s hyper wash and the 2 bucket method and a sheepskin wash mitt and a noodle wash mitt for sills and under bumpers.

Car was then rinsed off and left wet for claying, clayed using blue clay and weak mix of citrus bling as lube

    Leaving me with this.

As this was meant to be a protection detail but I didn’t fancy the car being left covered in swirls, so I decided to give it a coat of poorboys black hole using the rotary and the glazing pads buffed using the poorboys towels

    Couple of 50/50 shots

Once I had worked my way round the car using this I gave the car its first coat of the black light also using the rotary but now with the ultimate last step pads. Giving this

The car was given 2 coats like this leaving 20 min for each coat to bond and then 20min between each coat. Buffed using poorboys towels

Whilst waiting I polished the exhaust using wirewool and Autosol

    Before

    After

Badges and grill polished using Jeff’s prime

    Before

    After

Plastic trim treated with Raceglaze rubber dressing, this is a product I’m really loving at the moment easy to apply and leaves a cracking finish

    50/50 shots

Car was then given 3 coats of V7 leaving 30min between each coat and buffed using uber microfiber towels. Whilst waiting the tyres were dressed using valet pro tyre gel alloys given 2 coats of jetseal 109, arches given 2 coats of Megs hyper dressing and glass cleaned inside and out using neat citrus bling.

    Giving me this
