Now, I've run a search that didn't really cover my all my questions and I don't need to know a brand of sealer as there are plenty of threads about that.

    1. The wheels in question have a delicate finish. The first set I had showed fine scratches in the clear just from using a wheel brush. They were eventually replaced due to failure of the finish. Since then I've been using the same soap I use to clean the car and a microfiber wash mit. I then dry them using the air compressor with a high pressure nozzle and a microfiber towel.

So, the question is, what process would you do to seal the wheels? I don't want to apply anything abrasive as I'm just that worried about the finish.

    2. I was searching though threads trying to decide on a sealer to try and I noticed that a lot of people use more than one product at the same time. Why would you use two sealers at the same time?

I use zaino Z2pro , zaino Spray seal or chemical guys jetseal109, I apply with either a foam applicator pad or even a MF applicator pad. A foam pad is less likely to scratch IMO. as for people doubling up on products, ask the other guys; its not something I do.

I double up on wheel sealants. I tend to use SV Autobahn on the face and Blackfire All Metal Sealant on the barrels. The reason I do this is cuz the SV gives the wheels a nice shine and the Blackfire makes cleaning up the barrels way easier and I usually do two coats or more in the barrels. I usually apply SV with my fingers lol and Blackfire with a Uber yellow app.

SV is pretty expensive for only 50ml. How long does it normally last you?

Blackfire is a great wheel sealant, but GTechniq C5 will last much longer. Blackfire gave me 3 months and GTech C5 is going on 7 months and still going strong.

It'll last on the wheels anywhere from 2.5 - 3 months with just one app.
The tub itself will last you quite awhile. You really don't need to apply much to each wheel.

May have to try it once my bottle is used up. Thanks.

exactly. SV on the wheels is a waste of money IMO since its just going to wash off. Phil is right, go with something that is permanent.

+1 for SV autobahn! remember you have to treat it with cleaner fluid before to get the full durability... there's nothing that protects better and make your wheels super easy to clean. I've gotten 6 months from an application, touching it up with Nano Express every month or so...

As long as you use SV car bath properly diluted it won't wash off for quite a while.

SV Nano express works great standalone as well, and lasts about a month.

I guess it depends on where you live, my friend uses SV products on his m5 wheels and its so dusty and smoggy here it doesn't last that long....... Not sure if he uses the nano express, but he does use Autobahn.

Ah, in my searching I was led to believe that the Opti Coat was about the same as the SV. I didn't know it is permanent.
