Hi, my first post on DB. I hope this is in the right section.

Need some help here. I have what appears to be build up or oxidization of some kind around the badge on my trunk lid. I've tried clay, TAW, and q-tips. What next?

    Debadge, correct area, rebadge.

So a little dental floss and 3M Adhesive Remover for the remove?

Should I pony for a new badge as opposed to trying to reapply the old? Is there an adhesive to use for that?

    TIA

And a heat gun/hair dryer. I'd imagine if you bought a new badge it'd come with adhesive. I'd figure out if you wanna get a new one after you remove the old one. What's the rest of your car look like? Welcome btw.

After I did some correction with a PC:

I made the mistake of letting the dealer wash it and now it has got some nasty towel marks which you can see above the badge. I'll be going after it again in the next week.

Are the Audi badges plastic of metal? Either way, I would do as stated above, I would remove, correct and replace.

    They are "chromed" plastic...

Interesting. I didn't know chromed plastic could pit like it looks like that one did.
