Is there anything that can be done about glossy interior trim that is scratched or swirled?

I mean something like carbon fiber interior trim or the gloss plastic dash of a BMW Z8.

I would think that a light polish applied by hand would be best, if anything.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

By hand you can use SIP or 106FF on the CF. On the Plastic on that BMW maybe someone can answer that for you.

On my 03 accord the letters for the shifter are plastic. I used lots of tape, a powerball mini and Meguiar's Plastx. You could do it by hand, but that seems like a lot of work to me.

Thanks. The CF trim has very minor scratches. I will probably try IP by hand first then move up to SIP if necessary.

The trim in the Z8 is in rough shape. I would think it will be difficult to tackle by hand.

The powerball mini is a good idea. My concern is that it might mind up with splatter on the interior of the car. Did you have any problems with the polish being thrown around?

I have no shots of the interior (showing the swirling on the trim).

This is all I can find at the moment.
