The owner of this car also owns the red '93 vette i previously detailed. This car is garage kept and only taken out on weekends. However it has never been polished. The car had a lot pf pitting in the paint, as well as some rain etching. total time: 29 hours Exterior -Wash -CG CWC -Meg's mitt -Wheels -CG CWC -CG Citrus Sticky Gel -EZ detail brush -Swissvax wheel brush -OXO tire scrubber -ARO (tires) -Wheel Wells -Simple Green -DD wheel well brush Clay -CG blue clay -ONR lube Polishing -Exterior paint -Meg's unigrit 2000 paper -Meg's unigrit 3000 paper -Meg's sanding block pad -M95 via Black Wool pad @ 1000-1800RPM -Menzerna SIP via Orange CCS pad @ 1000-2000RPM -Menzerna PO85RD via blue 3M UK Ultrafina pad @ 1500-2000RPM -Makita 9227C -3M Yellow Foam Backing Plate -1000w halogen lights -ISA 50/50 wipedown -DD Uber MF towels -Exhaust -#0000 steel wool -1Z chrome polish LSP -Paint -Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite -Rubbish Boy's Original Edition -FK1 # 425 -CG 530XL MF towels -Wheels -1Z chrome Polish Glass -Stoner's Invisible Glass Interior -CG Leather Cleaner -1Z Cockpit Premium -Zaino Z10 and now onto the before pictures after wash and clay what water etching looks like close-up. these marks had to be sanded down. Some deep scratches that were on the roof. i informed the owner that these could not be removed completely safely, but that i could reduce them so they werent visible. look how deep! the hood was very badly pitted I finished day one at 10pm after compounding with M95. Day two i arrived at 9AM and got to work with SIP on a orange CCS pad, and following that with 85RD on a 3M Ultrafina UK pad. i love these pads for finishing! after polishing was finished around 10PM on day two, i applied Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite, and folloewd that with Rubbish Boy's Original Edition wax; which is my favorite wax . i allowed the wax to set for an hour before removing it with a CG 530XL towel. i called it a night at around 1AM after removing the wax. Back for day three at 8AM. I started the morning with a starbucks coffee and marble loaf... gotta wake up somehow after almost no sleep... i got to work in the morning by first giving the car a wipedown with ice-cold water to remove any excess wax that may have sweated out overnight. after that i did a wipedown with FK 425, my favorite QD, and then cleaned the windows with Stoner's Invisible Glass. after FK 425: this wax beads water VERY WELL! Now onto the interior. I decided to tackle this with CG Extreme Leather Cleaner. How about a 50/50? left side is clean All clean more soiled leather... remember that nice white towel? well this is how it looked after just the two seats! Finished pictures and the Interior And now i decided to try out my polarizing filter again and a finishing touch! that's all for the Vette! Ferarri and Porsche right after finishing up the blue vette, another customer of mine, who happens to be the next door neighbor of the vette owner, asked me to give his two cars a wash. I used DuraGloss soap. and then i got to drive the ferarri thats all for now. Thanks for looking!
Fantastic work bringing that Corvette back to its former glory, but MAN OH MAN that Ferrari and Porsche are the SHIZZZ!!!
Great jobs. The C4 looks like a different car. I guess I'll have to check out some of CG's leather cleaner - those are some damn impressive results. Next time I get a basket case to work on, it'd be nice to use something that's made for leather, but actually cleans. I don't find Lexol cleaner to be very impressive.
Amazing work reviving that vette, in the afters the paint looks so wet. Rubbish boy's OE is one of the best waxes out there and is also one of my favorites as well. Great job on all three cars :applause:
:thumb: thanks! the owner is lso the owner of 360 forged thanks! thanks! thanks! thanks! CG leather cleaner has never failed me! thanks! OE is one of my favorites! thanks! to be honest i don't know... the owner bought he car used, so before he bought it maybe the previous owner didnt take good care of it? yup thanks thanks!
Great turn around on that Vett, love that blue :thumb: Boy that's a hard choice between Ferrari or a Porche Turbo...but why have a hard time choosing why not purchase both...wow...that's all I have to say :druling: :druling: :worship2: :worship2: Thanks for sharing.
