Just picked up some 80/20 package of 24 towels...

The towels are made by Proforce ... anyone use these towels and more importantly are they any good ...

    thoughts , comments welcome :)

If they are the ones I'm thinking of they are the cheap towels. I probably wouldn't use them on the exterior paint. Maybe just dirty door jams and stuff like that were you wouldn't want to ruin a good microfiber towel. And if they have tags on them CUT THEM OFF. They will scratch the paint like you wouldn't believe.

Same here ... good for general stuff, but I don't use them on paint.

I use the costco towels for interror, door jamb, sills, glass etc. But generally not on paint. Not that they are particularly bad towels or anything I just prefer something with more weight / thicker pile when going over the paint work.

The only problem I find with the Costco MFs is that the quality is very inconsistent between packs. One pack could produce some really soft towels that I still use on my paint with not marring whatsoever but some are in no way going to touch paint even when new. They are an amazing deal though as they truely do it all and are cost effective and readily accessible!

if you get sam`s towels , wash them twice and will be softer , you can use them on paint a few times , they are not great quality so after few more washes they loose the soft from the fabric , is when you have to give them another task ( interior , windows , etc)

I buy and use them (from SAMS). Not on paint though. As stated earlier, for everything interior, jambs, sills, wiping dressing off motors, etc.....

They work, they are cheap.....and they work.... just as good as ANY towel that you use for general cleaning.

I can't stand people who think they are too good to buy something cheaper, that actually works. Some people would rather spend $2-5 and up for a general purpose MF....... Well guess what, I just bought 24 for what you paid for 5..... and I didn't have to pay for shipping on top of that.

been using the sams club proforce microfibers (like them better than the yellow costco ones) for a good while and they work fine for a general purpose...
