I had a red F150 FX4 on tap Friday and I really wanted to see what Rubbish Boys Original Edition would look like on red. So I asked him when he got to my house if he wanted to include the Rubbish Boys to the detail for an extra charge. I said if you do it will look like that and pointed to the Volvo. He said "Oh yeah I want that!" So with the upsell out of the way it was time to get to work. Truck wasn't bad just dirty inside and out. Wheels were really bad with brake dust but all in all it turned out great. I'm hear to tell you that Rubbish Boys Original Edition is an absolutely INCREDIBLE wax. The look it gives is nothing short of Phenomenal. Well here's what I did:

Tires/Wheels: The wheels got Megs Wheel Brite and OrngeZ's wheel sticks, Swissvax brush, and a black shmitt. This is an ustopable combo regardless of how nasty the wheels are and the shine is just brillant. The tires got Majestic Solutions Super Green Stuff diluted 2:1 and the wells got CGs Grime Reaper diluted 4:1. The tires were dressed with Majestic Solutions Super Dress All first as a base coat and followed up with CGs VRP, and the wells got CGs Bare Bones.

Chrome: The chrome bumpers and painted nerf bars got Klasse AIO with a 3" white pad. I like putting the Klasse on and before buffing it off I spray the black plastic pieces of the bumper and nerf bars with the MS QDs. That way if any QDs oversprays it does so on the Klasse and is eventually buffed off and doesn't leave those spots behind. It was then buffed off with a Sams Club MF.

Trim: The black plastic pieces on the bumpers got Majestic Solutions Quick Details, guess I gave that away in the previous step. Door handles, side mirrors, and fender flare trim got CGs Trim Gel applied with a TW MF applicator pad. This stuff can rival black wow and if it gets on the paint or glass it comes off very easily unlike Black Wow.

Engine: Got the old faithful, rinse, spray with MS SGS, agitate, rinse, dry with leaf blower, dress with CD-2. I am still trying to get the hang of this stuff. I think its a good product but I don't think its the be all end all that some make it out to be. It does have a bit of a learning curve to get the best results.

Wash: Washed with the foam cannon and a strong solution of CGs Clear Citrus Wash and my Griots mop stick. I really like the clear and it cleans even better than the CWG, which is great when you know you need LSP stripped. After a wash with this stuff you can just feel how squeaky clean the paint is. Bugs got MS Bug Off and a Pinnacle Safe Scrub. All lower panels were pretreated with MS SGS before the truck was foamed with the CGs Clear.

Clay: Clayed with Pinnacle Poly Clay and DP 4n1 clay lube via a handheld pressurized sprayer like you get at Lowes. I like this method because it puts plenty of lube on the paint and sure beats the traditional sprayer. Pinnacle is not as good as Riccardo but I like it. Even though it is a newer truck there were a ton of contaminants on the paint.

Glass: Glass inside and out got CGs Glass Cleaner applied with a CGs El Gordo MF and dried off with a Walmart WW.

Interior: The interior was pretty dirty but after a very good vacuum it was a lot better. I used my Megs slidelock brush to clean all the crevices and vents before the vac. I cleaned all the vinyl and plastic with 1z Cockpit Premium. This was my first time using this product and it worked great. I really like how it cleans and protects in one step and leaves behind a nice clean smell. It worked great on the fake chrome on the inside of the cab and it shined like no tomorrow after Cockpit. FMINUS had told me how good this stuff was and as usual he was right. I applied it with a TW MF mitt. I really seem to get good even coverage with this mitt when applying interior protectants and cleaners. I bought a ton of these at Big Lots.

Door Jambs: Door jambs got CGs ONE. I just started using the ONE for this and really love it. I use it just like I do on paint, spray, wipe in one direction to lift the dirt, then come back and buff to a brilliant shine. CGs ONE does an incredible job on door jambs regardless of how dirty they are.

Paint: I decided to make sure the paint was really clean so I used DG 501. This is one of my favorite products and cleans the paint like nothing I have ever used. I applied it via the Flex at speed 3.5 with a white 5.5" LC CCS pad. It is amazing how black the pads get even after a very aggressive wash and a good claying. DG 501 really cleans the pores of the paint. I went through 4 pads cleaning the truck. I also like that 501 gives some protection as well.

Protection: As always I reached for my fav CGs Jetseal. I applied it by hand with my polishing pal and a 4" blue CCS pad. I buffed it off with a CGs Black and Yellow MF. Well the shine was nothing short of incredible but now I was jacked to put on the Rubbish Boys Original Edition to see if it looked as good on red as it does on blue!

LSP: Now the moment I had anxiously been waiting for. I opened the Original Edition and I scraped a little bit of the top layer with a spoon and left it in the jar. I then took a 3" red pad and heated it with a hair dryer (this was an ad lib by me on a tip by Nica) and put it in the jar and worked it into the wax to get the oils going. I then applied in small circular motions very thin. The wax went on very easy and I made sure to go thin because Ben continually stressed this to me and it worked well on the Volvo.

Because the original edition has slow evaporating solvents it's best to let it stand and cure for about 20 min. after application. I let it cure for about 30 mins before removing. I buffed it off with a CGs green edgeless MF. The wax was a little harder than others to come off but not overly hard. Again, I was astounded at the shine, depth, glow and slickness of this wax! I am so glad I started talking to Ben and bought it. This is my best wax purchase ever! If you have not tried it and even remotely think you might want to I would tell you with all confidence to take the plunge and you will not regret it. Before I took it back to the guy I wiped it down with Optimum's new Instant Detailer. As you can see from the pics the red was astounding. Again I dont have enough space to tell you how good this wax is and how glad I am that I bought it.

That's looks great Wolf. That red really glows. Your engine detail looks good but an F150 engine has to be one of the ugliest engines around. It's nice to see spring coming to NC.

Thanks mate I try. You really need some Rubbish Boys to put on all those black cars/trucks you do. Trust me you would not regret it.

    Thanks bro!

No problem and you need to put it on that black Mustang as soon as you get it. That thing is going to be smokin'. Thanks for all the compliments guys.
