Our 2nd detail in 3 days. :shead:

The last two details were not as dramatic as our first. At least we're getting pratice. I think we still need more practice, and I still have my car to play around with. :bla2:

The paint was not that bad, very light swirls. So I used an Orange Pad with 106FA then Black 3M Pad with 85RD. The car was parked near sprinkers in Corona so the hard there is hard. Some of the water spots in the lowest part of the car were very hard to remove.

And there were A LOT of orange peel. And I have no experience so there are still orange peel. :sorry:

We tried the new CG 550 to take off the wax and it was great. Very soft and fluffy. :applause2:

    Preview of next detail:

2004 Toyota Rav-4: It's black and needs a lot of correction. This will be a nice challenge.

rtrt2889 Very nice job on the paint. Looks like you are off to a great start. I hope you don't mind but I noticed a few areas you might want to work on.
If you don't have an EX brush for the inside of the rims try to get one soon.... or find another long handled brush you like. I see something on the inside of the rim on the pic above.
Also I think you missed the back lip of the engine bay. When I saw it... I was reminded of a post by Clean Dean. If I find it I will bump it back up on the forum. It was a list of commonly missed areas when detailing. I hope you find my coments helpful and not upsetting. You did a very nice job! Good luck with your next detail!

Thanks DG 101, The back of the rims were a little hard to get clean. We'll find a way to get to it. Some of it was rust, so we might have to use a metal polish. I see the back lip of the engine.

Thanks for looking out. We'll be sure to look extra careful there on our next detail.

DG501 meant EZ brush not EX brush in case you decide to get one, however they are really soft bristled and probably wouldn't remove that spot. There are other brushes of that type that have firmer bristles, but you have to be careful of the exposed wire on the end. Hope this helps!

    Nice Job BTW!
