First detail since my friend and I gave our little gig a name...

2007 Jeep Liberty, 44k miles on the clock, in white... 20 man hours to complete...

Vehicle was in pretty rough shape when it arrived and as you will see from some of the pics far worse once we got it under the bright lights. Owner's biggest complaint was the tar and iron stains along the doors and fender guards.

Took 4hrs to clay bar, 4hrs to clean up the wheels, 7hrs to compound, 5hrs to do all the little detail stuff and apply the LSP.

There was a lot of deep deep scratches we weren't able to fully get out and the white hides EVERYTHING even under bright lits which made it that much harder to do.

Ton of work but came out really nice and the owner was quite pleased.:headbang:

Looks great! Another post where Prima gets the job done.

My partner is this endeavor was a bit skeptical of the Prima stuff so we did a little test. The hood was so bad we decided to do a 50/50 on it. Prima Cut vs Menzerna S34A. Both using Uber yellow pads on PC 7424XP set on 6, same number of passes and similar work times. I did the one side with Prima he did the other side with Menzerna. We really couldn't see any difference between the two at the end of it all but the Prima side look to be less marred by the compound.

In fairness though we need to do something like that on a non-white car. The white just hide everything even under bright lits unless you were at a real low angle to the paint.

Nice work. :) That thing was beat to heck and back.

How did you use Power Lock in conjunction with Banana Gloss?

I applied the Power lock the night before and just let it sit... almost 24hrs by the time I removed. Then applied the Banana Gloss over that. I have applied a wax as early as 1hr after powerlocking with no noticeable issues either in application or viewing the car a week later. I know it's not needed but I like putting a sacrificial coat on my customers cars (and my own) to try and extended the life of the Power Lock by a month or so if they just let the car go instead of keeping up with it.

I really like the Power/Banana combo...I am calling it and should trademark... "Power Banana" :)...anyways both go on super easy and the Banana adds a bit of slickness to the car over just Power lock...

Side note... LOVE HYDRO!!! Used it prepping my car for Auto-x and fell in love with it... Big jug of it for the next order with Phil for sure!

Sweet. I was wondering if you left it long enough to cure. :)

I finally got my Banana Gloss in today along with a gallon of Slick (per your recommendation).

Yeah gallon of that in the next order too... Used 50% of the small bottle of Slick already and it's only been a week or so! Great QD!

Holy moly. You must spray pretty heavy handed. :applause2:

Maybe... but hopefully just that often... In fairness i used it on two cars and one car was almost everyday because of the short drives I was going on and trying to keep it clean. The brake pads i use on it are very dusty and coat the side of the car after a 'spirited' drive and I don't like to let it linger on the paint to long.

what dressing did you use on the tires? they look great

I use CG Extreme Liquid Shine on them and apply with the Uber small applicator pad. A little goes a long ways and the matte out a bit once they dry so they don't look soaking wet. Life is a bit short though may be a 1.5 to 2weeks in decent weather less if it is wet, but application is a snap so reapplying takes all of a minute with no clean-up afterwards.
