    Hi,

I was wondering for the guys who own a rotary, do you still use your DA polisher if you have one or do you only use the rotary (except for applying wax)?

I just bought a flex 3401 and after looking at some rotary video i think i made a mistake and i'm considering selling it to get a rotary.

    Thanks

It's very rare when I do, but I still use it on occasion.

Not unless theres some very small plastic piece that needs to be polished. Other then that, I only use it for liquid sealants.

The only time I use a pc is when applying my cleaner fluid, that is the only reason why I keep my two pc's.

I use my PC for applying waxes/glazes/sealants. Also if I run into very finicky paint that I am having trouble finishing with a rotary will I use it.

    thanks guys,

so if i want to set up to a rotary, their is no point of keeping my flex since i have a udm already

Personally I dont see a need for a flex if you already have pc and a rotary. With the pc and rotary you can use smaller pads, with a flex you cant, so to me you are covered with a rotary and pc.

AR summed it up. Two machines is all you need... well I'll have backups as soon as business picks up.

Well this is just me but I can't stand a PC, what killed me was the vibration, my hands didnt' take to well to the vibration so all I use is my Metabo or Makita. I own the Flex DA as well but I never use it, just not a fan of the vibration. Oh but don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the DA tool, I personaly just don't have a need for them that's all.

    Just my :2cents:
