After receiving Scholl S40 from Ketil and Vic's Mayhem from Phil, it was time to review them both:

Scholl S40: I have been reading quite a bit on this polish, and that supposedly it can hold up well to Menzerna 85RD and Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Professional. I used my Flex on 5 with a blue Uber pad. The color of the polish is the same as 85RD and Cleaner Fluid Pro, although S40 does stain the pads a bit more. What I loved was the lack of dust, and the fact that the polish just disappeared into the paint. Left a stunning finish with beautiful sharp reflections. A very easy to use polish. Just make sure you wipe it all off when you're done (which is easy) as I had one spot I forgot to wipe off (it went onto the fender) that took quite a bit to remove an hour later. Also, I am not a bit fan of the bottle. It's easy to squeeze too much out, as the polish seems a bit "thinner" than 85RD or Cleaner Fluid Pro.

Victoria Wax Mayhem: I have both the samples of Chaos and Mayhem, but today's test was Mayhem only. A very nice soft wax, with plenty of oils that make it a treat to apply. I used a thin, yellow foam applicator. The wax doesn't seem to have a smell. Removal was seemingly easy, until I pulled it out of the garage into the sun and I could see some spots where I had waxed and where it did not remove completely. I was using an MF with a longer nap, which works great for Power Lock. I had left the wax to cure for perhaps 20 minutes, maybe that was too long. All in all a nice wax, although with a bit of a learning curve for removal.

What do you mean by "it can hold up well"? And where are the sun shots ;)

Menzerna 85RD is seen as one of the best final polishes out there, as is Cleaner Fluid Professional. What I means it that S40 is a good alternative and very good as well.

Sorry, no sun shots. But I can guarantee that the paint was/is flawless :)

Oh so you are saying it can hold its own to those two products. I get where your going now.

Yes, sorry. English is not my native tongue so I am always learning!

I have a sample of this that's been waiting for months now. Time to break it out once it warms up.

s40+ is the shizz! Breaks down faster than 85rd (imo) and leaves a better finish, also use less polish overall. I have mine in a sqeeze bottle with all my other polishes (8oz bottles) so they are easy to carry. Once my s17+ comes in it will only be using scholl as to me they work better, faster, and cleaner.

Is this S40 something new or is it a flavor of the month type of thing?

It is not new, have had mine for some time, just that scholl concepts is not common in NA, 1. it is expensive ($80ish for a 32oz bottle i think), 2. hard to get/find. Thus not many people use it.

I'm sure the other guys share my sentiments when I say that knowing more than 1 language is a great asset, and we wouldn't have even known that english is not your primary language. FWIW, many of the people whose native language is english don't use it properly.

As for the Scholl products, I hope Phil decides to get some of their brand in stock, because I really want to try them.

Mayhem is a WOWO product, if you let it set too long it can become like concrete. Usually a little QD helps

Very nice info I have been wanting the Scholl polishes thanks to JL and once again thanks to him I have a few samples. They are very pricey polishes and I am excited to see Phil carrying this line

Nice review. Did the mayhem dry on you before removal? If s40 is anything like s30 and s17+, then it is a great product. Scholl makes some very good polishes.

Is Phil gonna carry the Scholl line?

I wouldn't think he would. Unless he can remain price competitive. It's also a considerable investment on his part bringing in a pallet of that product.

Sorry, I haven't been on here in a while. Didn't even see the interest thread. It would be very cool if Phil carried it. Just don't know how many people would actually pay that much for a polish.

Please don't be sorry, especially not to me. I totally get your point as far as making a big investment, and can only hope that Phil takes the plunge.
