I decided to wash my wifes car today after work. It's hot and the sun is high so I didn't take many photos and I was moving really fast to combat soap drying and water spotting from water drying.

First I measured out 3 ounces of Mystique. I tried to get a good picture of how it looks Purple in some light and green in another, and sometimes a mix of both. Unfortunately the sun overcame the camera on my iPhone. You can see the top of the car here, and obviously it's not very dirty at all.

I then added it to about 4 gallons of softened water and grabbed my grit guard off the bottom and moved it up and down a couple times to mix the water. As Pats300zx mentioned, it's pretty low sudsing. I also chose to use a Lowes ProLine grout sponge for this wash. I'm starting to like these more and more.

Overall I like this soap a good bit. I love the smell and I think it's got plenty of lubrication. My wifes car wasn't terribly dirty to begin with since I washed it about a week ago and I've been using it to commute to work which is about 10 miles round trip.

Price per Gallon: 44.95 (35c per ounce) http://www.detailersdomain.com/primamystique.aspx

    Out of 5 stars:
Price: 3 (it's kind of expensive compared to some)
    Smell: 5 (yum)
Suds: 2 (not very sudsy, though my rinse bucket was OVERFLOWING with suds when I squeezed the sponge out)
Slickness: 4 (I find it pretty slick)
Cleaning ability: 4 (This one was tough to decide on, I mean I guess I've never used a soap that DIDN'T clean well so I don't have a benchmark for that)

    Total Score 18/25.

I also had a chance to try ARO on the wheel wells/wheels and tires prior to taking these pictures. You can see the wheels are pretty clean looking and the tires have no blooming(browning) on them now. I pulled the car into the garage and dried with a waffle weave towel and aquawax as a drying aid.

Thank you for honest review. I'm kinda like RossOCD on detailingworld, always wanna try new soaps, although I already have enough to last me a few years...Have you used CG Glossworkz? That's the one that I was really DISSAPOINTED with such a poor lubricity, IMO Optimum ONR is slicker then Glossworkz...Lusso Auto Bathe on the other hand is low sudsing/yet very slick. Do you have Lusso Auto Bathe or Optimum Shampoo? Can you compare it to another soap?

I've got a sample of Glossworkz coming. I traded Metajames some Mystique for Glossworkz to try.

I'm on a soap kick too:

    Got the following:

    Zaino Z7 - 16 oz
Prima Mystique - 16 oz AND 1 Gallon
    PB SS&S - 1 Gallon
Optimum Car wash - 1 gallon
    ONR - 2.5 GALLONS
Sonax Car Wash - 16 oz
    1Z Perls - 16oz
    DG 903 - 64 oz (half gallon)

I think that's it, though I wouldn't be surprised if I had more somewhere.

I could compare it to Z7, DG 903, Perls or ONR. I haven't used PB SS&S or Optimum Car Wash yet, or the Sonax. Zaino Z7 is still my favorite soap. Just the aroma alone sets it so far apart from everything else for me. It's literally my favorite smelling detailing thing EVER.

I'd say slickness is on par with DG 903, but I used 2oz of DG 903 to 3oz of Mystique. The duragloss 903 is a sudsing fool though, that's got Mystique by a long shot.

I gotta go pick up my daughter so I can try and post more evaluations on it vs other soaps later.

I think it is hard to compare traditional soaps to ONR since it is a bit of a different animal. If I rub my fingers together in a bucket of ONR sure doesn't feel slippery like a regular soap does.

Glossworkz is pretty good at doing what it is intended to do, clean and leave behind a gloss. I found that the lubricity was decent but the actual cleaning power was weak. I use it at about 1.5x the recommended dilution and I think it is much better at higher concentration. I was also disappointed at first when I went in at the 1 oz : 4 gal ratio stated on the label.

I'd like to hear opinions on Glossworkz vs Majestic Ultra Gloss though.

Personally right now my favorite soap is OPT Car Wash, great in the foam gun, great cleaning power, great lubricity and great scent.

I agree. ONR does not feel slick to me at all but it is seems to have what it takes to safely clean than soap so the slickness in soap seems an observation and cannot be correlated to safeness. The same is really true for suds -- look at 1z Perls which to me is ONR using a traditional bucket wash. You have to wipe down or you will get streaks.

Yeah. I didnt try to compare it to ONR. Supercharged asked what else I've used so I rattled off what I could remember.

It's a nice soap, no two ways about it.

Z7 is one soap I never tried. I even had Zymol Clear, which I liked a lot (kinda pricey though).
    Few of my favorites are:
    Dodo Juice BTBM
    Pinnacle Bodywork
    Lusso Auto Bathe
    MS UG
    Optimum
    Ultima

Perlz is nice, but I kinda like a bit more suds/more lubricity.

Oh yeah I have the Ultima too. Haven't used it but I hear it's a suds monster.

I've used Pinnacle Bodywork but it was so long ago I don't remember a thing about it.

It's def a suds monster. It is the longest lasting sudsing soap I have used. Even brake dust won't break it down. Pricey though.

I tried to not let my overall excitement of the Prima line cloud my review process. I *DO* like the soap, and for how much it would cost me to buy a gallon of Zaino Z7 wash (8 bottles at 8.95/ea) = $71.60 plus shipping this may be my 'go to soap' when Zaino wash isn't an absolute must.

Then again I haven't tried my PB SS&S, Ultima, Sonax or Optimum Car Wash.

    We'll see.

I really like the PBSS and the OCWash, very nice shampoos, good performance over all and really cost cheap. I think your gonna like them too. PBSS was one of the I think first shampoo I ever use that wasn't OTC. I still like it!

Part of the problem I have with PB SS&S right off the bat, is it's about as expensive as Mystique is, which IMHO totally contradicts the companies name and slogan. There's nothing "Poorboy" about the price of PB SS&S, especially when DuraGloss #901 gallons and Optimum Car Wash have that beat by 10-15 dollars per gallon!

Don't know about that as I never tried it BUT. Using Optimum Car Wash yesterday, washed the car, spilled the bucket. 3hours later the suds were still near the curb! It looked like snow, EPIC. Lol.

I plan on trying out Mystique next week. I just got done trying 1z perls today and I must say, it has less suds than Mystique compared to your pictures. I'm a little disappointed but I'll give it another try one day when my car is more dirtier.

Perls is about as no suds as you can get besides ONR.
