this I believe is a game changer. believe it or not it was designed for topping coatings.

Coatings tend to have a water spotting issue. The Sonax Polymer Net Shield will prevent this from happening.

This has been our go to product for the last 2 months when other than customer requested coatings at a premium price.

i have been playin with it recently, the gloss is great.i have had problems wipeing it off.probably due to heavy hands.

are you doing it section by section or leaving it on then coming back to it?

Phil, would you mind sharing with us your preferred application method?

I have used it once and was really impressed with the gloss, but the application was a PITA. The applicator and mf removal towel can get grabby at times. Maybe it has to do with the fact that it was designed to be a topper for previously coated vehicles instead of bare paint application.

The dirt release action is really good. I haven't washed the vehicle in two weeks and doesn't look bad at all. I'm planning on washing it this weekend and will report back.

you have to do a small section at a time with the uber hex wax/sealant applicator, I've tried the yellow on and microfiber pads and it just didn't work as well.

that's what made me actually really frustrated with it.

I spray onto the Uber Hex Wax/Sealant Applicator pad spread light and thin coat, 2x2 section and use an thin microfiber towel like the Uber Classic or Uber All Purpose and wipe off, the key is not letting it dry or it gets tacky.

Even then the work is worth it, you will never see beads that tight last that long, I have had this on my rear trunk lid for over 45 days now and its beading like crazy and repelling dirt well.

I have discussed the product with a few people concerned about the product being in a spray can. The spray is really narrow and there's no overspray to speak of ... I was actually surprised.

    Thanks for the tips Phil!

How many 4 door sedan can a can of sonax polymer net shield cover?

how is the durability and the look compare to Wolf's hard body?

I did a 06 Toyota Highlander and I probably used 20-25% of the bottle (I tend to use a lot on my 1st try). I would feel confident saying 4-5 mid-sized SUVs and probably 5-6 mid-sized sedans.

I think it looks really nice. IMO, looks better than Body Wrap, but I think Hard Body has a look that is difficult to match (especially 2 after two coats).

Still testing durability. I believe I applied it 3 weeks ago. I'm planning on washing the SUV this weekend.

I have done a Q7 with it, various demos in the shop, a GTI, easily 4 cars and we still have enough to do maybe another full car and another 1/2.

Phil do you wipe it off right after you apply or do you wait a few minutes to wipe off?

  20. detailersdomain

    detailersdomain Administrator

I wipe off right away if not you it will be pretty tacky and tough to remove.
