Restoring color to faded dashboard

    A friend of mine just bought an E86 corolla and asked me what he can use to restore some color to a faded dashboard.

    I haven't looked at it yet but he said its that vinyl covered foamy material. I assume it's faded from hers of. Wing exposed to sunlight.

    Like I said, I haven't taken a look at it yet, but thought id ask to see if anyone has dealt with this type of situation.

    If normal detailing products don't help, you could dye it(prob won't work great), paint it, or get a dash cover on it.

    I agree a dressing won't do anything. A plastic dash can be re dyed or painted, if the whole dash in that state it's the best thing to do but this foamy material has be concerned something else is going to be needed.

    lots of tape, prep and showroom new dyes. You only have two colour options though, black or grey
