Since I can't make a poll, Do you prefer a game where: a) You manage a detailing shop b) You detail cars c) both! a) would be managing your shop whether it be your garage or something in a location. b) would be detailing by choosing a tool then scrubbing on your lets say iPhone. if you choose a) Do you prefer being able to play a) on: a) any device b) your smartphone This research is very important to steer where my specs go =p
strategic bump for some love! (its planned to be free at least for now btw) If mods can flip it to polls, i'll love you long time
whooo finally someone replied! I can definitely look into the Symbian development pack too, it would probably be a cut down version of the game or web browser based for other than android/ios platform compatibility. Blackberries and WinMo7 will probably be the other main platform that I will look at, depending on code portability. I do know blackberry wants developers on their app store. Nonetheless thanks for the input I will be constructing flow charts/specifications and such until Christmas or so and Dylan may help out a bit with some parts of it =p but yeah target audience = detailers and their family (it will be a good tool to tell your wife you need to detail your car or tell your kids, now this is why i spend time doing this) More inputs please!
Question 1 C, I think having access to both would be better, though there are too many games where you just "manage" something. Question 2 Out of the two choices probably B Question 3 I would of course like it on android, perhaps looking into adobe air? I think it would be cool if you can make it compatible between different operating systems on feint or something. good luck
indeed too many just "manage" games are out there like citystory and stuff, but it could possibly be the base backbone of the whole thing possibly, i kind of want to bring in elements of what really happens in the detailing world kind of thing. I will definitely have a look at Adobe Air, thanks for the suggestion I just wonder how will it fare on iOS since Apple doesnt really like adobe that much these days. On compatibility side of scores and such, I will most probably have to write a server side script to take data from all platforms but I have my own server for that and can possibly do it without much problems (or I could look up Feint). Thanks for the input!
