Does anyone have a suggestion for replacing RainX on windows? Each fall I've coated the cars' glass but the process is slow & oily with RainX; looking for a substitute that's easier to apply with the same durability. Thanks.
I've heard this stuff is pretty good http://www.detailersdomain.com/Wolfs-Chemicals-WG-1NT-Nano-Glass-Sealant_p_529.html
this.... if your lucky you can find it in your local costco in bulk. I applied this to my mother's new (used) car when she got it and it still sheets/beads like the day I put it on....that was just about 6 months ago and it shows no sign of fading. it also really enhances your vision during the rain. oncoming headlight do not seem to "flare" through the water.
if yourlooking to spending more money and would like it to last about 30,000 miles. i would get gtechniq window kit.that stuff is amazing.unfortionutly the closest place to get it is canada.
Aquapel all the way ... buy it in bulk on Fleabay. I bought them for approx. $4.00-5.00 per applicator.
Funny post Wolfie, glad to see you guys are selling stuff here. Oh man Chemgys, Canada eh? I'll have to read up on that AQuartz, don't know much about it. Aquapel I've seen at my local Costco I think, comes in a container with ~5 applicators; I'll probably try that since it's the easiest to get. Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply.
You know our windshields in Alberta don't last that long lol : ) That's funny gonna tray that on the wife.
...that would freak me the hell out. I would definitely leave that room. Just bought some Gtech, can't wait to try it out
I wasn't a fan of Rain-X, had some clouding issues and it wasn't easy to work with. I like Adam's Glass Sealant a lot more, I put that on annually. But I've been waxing my glass with whatever wax I'm using on the car and find it works almost as well.
