Last weekend I decided to make the first real detail with the car of my father, a 2006 Renault Megane in green. The car was in a good condition, only a few very small scratches and swirls. After a wash, already clayed and dried. Wheels cleaned with Oxo wheel brush and APC. Went the car in the garage so there are much better temperatures than outside in sunny germany . Choice for today was the Rotex 125 FEG, LC orange light cut pads in 5.5 and Meguiars #82. Very easy to use and I think the Light Cuts are good for every kind of polishing. Towels were Aquatouch FBZ and Cobra miracle towels. At the end of polishing there was a beautiful high gloss on this Renault paint. Next step was Zym*l HD Cleanse, very easy to use and very nice to smell. Next step was to put a layer of my favorite wax, the Swissvax BoS, on the paint. The front, rear end and the lower panels were waxed with Zym*l Titanium for its durability. After waxing I drove the car in the direct sunlight as recommend for 2 hours about 31 degrees. After back in the garage and wait until the paint was cold. Buffing once again with a Eurow towel and a second coat of BoS/Titanium was layered. Plastics cleaned with #39 and Meguiars Hyper Dressing, tires too. Glass was cleaned with Meguiars class cleaner and cobra glass towel. :driver:
