Yes I Know!!!!! it´s not the most exciting car in the world for a detail!!! :sorry: but for me it was the most exciting an risky wekend of my life. well!!! before i start y have too make a warning. I´m from Colombia (most of you know this country from the news about drugs and gerrillas) but mos of all it´s a beautiful country . My point is my english it´s rubish and i´m making a huge effort to make this post understandable (for all my mistakes i´m sorry) :sorry: . I admire all of you guys for the big improvements you make on yours (or your client´s cars) you have been my inspiration to start doing this. Well, most of you can call me crazy but been this my first detail, I did this one as a professional (with a Makita 9227 that i just bougth). I know that the risk of making a mess with a rotary it´s huge but most of all i follow tis post´s every day since august realy and i understood the most coomon problems of working with this machines. And last but not less importan my camera it´s from the jurasic parck era so don´t spect the best pictures in the world. Now to bussines Tha car in cuestion was a renault clio from 2008. It´s pait was in a terrible shape, it has RDS everyware, and been black was a biger chalenge. To the pictures RDS everyware this one is from the front door it has biger defects as you can see. Some of them didn´t have a chance I did´t take pictures of the washing because.......... I´m stupid ther is no other word for it. But there is the cly bar after just one panel so imagine how was the paint. Now, one before an after the compound. This is the roof before. After The roof after polish after that i finish it with Ultrafina an there are the results. and after all sealed with 2 coats of Megs # 21. In my country it´s imposible to find a decent wax so i just lived like that. Final Shots windows reflections on a tail ligth???? Doors Complete car Well i hope you guys liked. but most of all tanks to all of you that take time for share your experience, that help me a LOT. Bye
Great job and congratulations on your first use of a rotary. I certainly don't have the same level of courage!
Hi Daniel, DB forum is welcome for everyone in the world, No matter where we are come from. My english is like rubbish as well, However, most DB members will try to understand us, as long as we could using simple english though .... You just did amazing job, I can only say AWESOME result for first time detail using Rotary, u really risk ur car, haha ... Nice car as well ... Welcome to DB ... I hope u will enjoy as much as all of us here ...
If this is where you started you have a very bright future ahead of you! This is great work, keep practicing and reading up. Just learn to make your own decisions and not base your detailing off of what others are doing. See what works for you and stick to it!
Excelente trabajo para ser la primera vez que trabajas un automovil profesionalmente ... :applause: Welcome to the boards!!! It's nice to see cars that don't sell in the US. Great work!!
Nothing wrong with that detail, vehicle turned out great well done. Oh and kudos to you for using the Makita, but see nothing to the rotary, it really isn't that difficult just takes time and practice and before you know it you too can be obtaining great results just like the rest of us here. By the way I've never been to Colombia, but I do have some friends from Colombia and you are correct it's a very beautiful country, but for every good there has to be a bad side and regrettably it's the drugs but hard to say that no country isn't affected by the drug 'industry'. Any who vehicle turned out great oh and it really doesn't matter what kind of vehicle it is, don't get me wrong who would say to a Ferrari or a Lambo but at the end what counts are the end results, detailing an exotic or such vehicles is just a bonus :thumb:
It´s great to see you opinions on this work and the warm welcome to the forum. I feel great to be here. As i set. you all have been my inspiration and all your coments and post help me a lot traing to avoid big mistakes specialy with the rotary, but at the end you have to love this machines. I love my makita works great. I just wish i could find beter products here in my country. but at the begeaning of next year I´m going to USA on vacation and i´m going to buy the rest of products and equipment that i need to complete my arsenal. Results on that clio talk for it self and thanks to that this weekend i have another car to do. It´s a Citroen C4 Picasso. I will post pictures at the begeaning of next week. Thanks Daniel
Great work Daniel and as so many others have said especially for your first time. Don't be concerned about the type of car you post up either, it's the craftmanship that counts. Heck while looking at the first page I clicked on your post first just because it said Clio and I wanted to see one.
