Removing wax streaks

A few months ago I put on a coat of Meg #16 that was a pain to get off. Apparently there are some fine streaks of left over wax. The thing is that I did not notice them until I had already stripped and put on a coat of FK 1000P. If I strip off my current LSP, what would be the next step to remove the streaks? I can't feel them with my fingers because of the FK 1000, but I can see them when the light hits them just right(my car is silver). I just needed to vent, not really happy with myself right now. Any ideas?

I think your best bet is to start fresh by stripping all your protection off.

I got some S100 total cycle cleaner today. Should do the trick right?

If it is the same as P21S TAW, then I'd say yes...

My understaning is that they are both the same. Plus S100 is OTC around here. I have aslo read that like products will remove like products. So the streaks are from Megs #16, I should be able to put on some #16 and "reactivate" the built up wax, and buff it right off. Any thouhgts?

I never had that happenning to me...only one way to find out - is to try it...

I have had the same thing happen to me. It could be I missed a few spots when buffing out the LSP. When this happens I have found that it is easiest to just wash the car. If I catch it under a week I will use ONR. If the streaks are still there I hit it with a QD or similar. I have used both PB's S&W and S&G with great results. If the streaks survive the onslaught I would say bust out the machine and your favorite light or finishing polish.

How long should I let the S100 cleaner dwell on the paint for?

10 minutes on COOL to the touch surface out of direct sunlight...then rinse it off, and wash.
