Not sure if this is the right section,if not I apologize. A couple runs at the track have left some rubber from the tires stuck behind the wheels on the paint. Any ideas on the best solution? It's on there pretty good.
Never used it for rubber removal but 1Z's Anti-Insect and tar remover might work: http://www.detailersdomain.com/1Z-einszett-Anti-Insekt-Bug-Tar-Remover_p_107.html
Another vote for Tarminator and plastic razor blade. I've used that method quite a bit and always works great.
Depending on how long its been there, you could get away with just Tarminator by itself. I had burnt rubber on the lower rocker panels on my car for over 2 years that I was too lazy to clean up until I sprayed Tarminator on it and it just melted the rubber away. Just a swipe with a towel after 5 min and it was gone.
Where can you buy plastic razor blades locally OTC? Would a place like Home Depot have some for cheap?
Detailing supply, the bulk chemical type or a janitorial supply place. A few online stores carry them, like detail king or rightlook.
