Remove window writing?

I was wondering what the best way to remove that writing stuff (some kind of paint?) used to tag windows. I was thinking some kind of glass cleaner, or maybe an apc mix, what have people found to work best?

 

Glass cleaner wouldn't cut it. Diluted APC should do the trick or even car shampoo. 2c.

Try glass cleaner and 0000 steel wool.

 

Don't have steel wool with me, I'm just wondering if 4-1 apc is safeon windows?

 

APC would clean it..Don't use it on Sclass/LS/other coated winshields though

 

I've done full strength purple power and 10:1 Simple green and they both worked.

 

APC and/or clay.

RAZOR BLADE! i've had to remove lots of that crap, and nothing works as good as a razor blade. make sure you do that before you wash the whole car though, because the residue that comes off is a pain if yoy already washed the car

 

I'd use steel wool or razors as a last resort. Start with clay. It takes most stuff right off like a giant pencil eraser. next try an APC, just be careful not to let it run onto to paint take off the LSP.

You must tray the 1Z acrysol, one friend off mine (he is in this Forum) he removed all the publicity of is brother car, and is the best!!!

if its grease pencil writing try some IPA it also works to remove ink from fabric

 

Magic Eraser would probably work. Only a couple dollars at Walmart

 

clay takes quite a bit of effort, so i'd just recommend some APC

 

Acrysol and a fresh blade.

 

I have used APC on S class windshield. What is the danger of this?
