Autogeek had a 15% off sale with free shipping for the Memorial Day Weekend. I had a few things to order from them (that DB supporters don't carry), and I tacked on a stupid item like this onto my order because it's truly an area that I have never cared for...but maybe should pay attention to as it's that last little detail that you almost expect.

Let me also state that I smell every product I own on a regular basis! While applying, while checking levels before placing an order, etc. I love the detailing experience every time I do a car, and treat every product like it's the first time I've used it. This is quality time spent alone, and I cherish that time!

This is the first time I've ever ordered a Griot's Garage product. My boss is constantly getting their catalogs, and I find myself using work time to browse the catalog on a regular basis. I decided to get a couple problem solving products.

Upon opening the 'new car scent' bottle, I thought I had made a mistake. In the bottle, this spray smells like something an old lady would wear. Money out the window, right? Damn it. After giving the wife's car a good wash and vacuum, I decided that her car would be the testing grounds for the spray. I pulled out each floor mat, and gave them 2 spritzes each.

Application still smelled like an old lady. I knew my wife was going to be pissed, that I had wasted $7 on a stupid thing that would sit on the shelf forever collecting dust, and that I would have to go to more thankless effort to make the car smell better.

Two hours later, I decided to bring my dogs into the back yard. While they were busy, I quickly opened the driver door and took in the smells that were applied a few hours before, expecting my worst fears about the product to be true. WRONG. I was actually pleased with the smell. It's not overpowering, smell is pleasant, and almost smells like a new car. Like someone actually paid attention to the product when designing the fragrance. I was surprised!

So much so that the floor mats in my truck ended up getting sprayed with it, and each day I go to work, I think that it was a good move to buy this dopey little bottle of smells to make life that much more full filling! I may even buy the other fragrances next time I order!

I always kinda wondered what smell I could use after a detail that every customer will appreciate. Think this is a good candidate?

I bought a bottle of that stuff years ago. The smell only lasts a couple of days. I got their "leather scent" variant back in the days when I didn't have a leather interior. I was somewhat underwhelmed.

Would I buy it again? No.

3 days after posting this and I too am underwhelmed with the longevity of the scent. Einszett Cockpit spray lasts just as long:(

I've had a bottle of the leather scented spray for awhile now. It too only seems to last for a day or two. THe leather scent of their leather rejuvenator seems to last longer than the actual spray.

More recently I purchased CG New car scent. It seems to last a little longer however still not overly impressed with the longevity of the smell.

I think I will order a bottle of "New Car' & "Leather Scent" on my next order. I'll give it a whirl, its only $14

The leather scent smells awesome. It just doesn't stick with it for that long. I also tried soaking a small sponge in it and then placing the sponge near the vent on the floor during the winter. That seemed to make it last a little longer than a general spray on the carpets.
