I had an opportunity to use the Adam's Green Wheel cleaner today on wheels that weren't really all that dirty. Tough to do a solid review on a wheel cleaner when the wheels aren't real dirty, however it seemed to be a real nice product. No real smell per say. After rinsing the wheels down, I sprayed and let dwell for about a min or so. i could see the brake dust rolling off. I then washed with a sponge and some CG CWC. Wheels came nice and clean, no issues! Obviously I need dirtier wheels to compare to P21s. Happy so far.
So, I had an opportunity to try it on a set of dirtier wheels. Also I read the directions and it says it's a tire cleaner too. Well, I happened to be cleaning up my buddy's '91 Caddy Brougham. What a monster. Anyway it had some wire mesh wheels with whitewalls. Same method as before, wet the wheel, spray with cleaner, let dwell a min or two. Wash with CG CWC and sponge, SV wheel brush, and a generic stiff brush for the whitewalls. The cleaner does a really good job! I was in a hurry and totally forgot to clean one wheel with P21s so I still don't have a comparrison. Sorry. Wheels came out nice and clean, and the tires came nice and white! This really shocked me, as this is normally ARO territory. Product is very good, and I think I will be ordering more. The niche is see it filling is when your wheels/tires are lightly to moderately dirty. When you need more than just your car shampoo, but not all the way up to P21s. And it does tires too! Very nice product, more review on the way on really nasty wheels. p.s. I bought it from Phil at DD. Thanks Phil.
When they're not dirty, I just use the left over water with Adams... I suppose I could just use plain water, but I always like to have some sort of soap in my bucket when washing wheels/tires/wells.
yes we are one of Adam's top resellers in the world if you need anything Adam's let me know. Thanks! Adam's Green Wheel Cleaner
Sounds like it's worth a try... I'll have to give it a shot sometime down the road when I run out of my current lineup.
