applied concorso after cleaner fluid today...

applied it with hand...left it for 10minutes...

the wax dried fast ( due to high humidity and temp here)

removing the wax is a pain in the ass...i used swissvax's blue micropolish cloths

the dried wax is hard as hell to buff off..and its flaking when i rub against it... im afraid this might scratch my paint..

    anyone have the same experience?

my paint is hazing now...without even exposed to heat.... :(

Try using Sv qick finish or another QD to help remove what is left on the panels..

sounds like you may have applied it to thick...next time try using a foam applicator pad to apply the wax thinnly...

will quick finish clear up all the dried up left over wax?

i have used way too much wax... i seen other threads saying that QD wont solve the problem , i need to use cleaner fluid and redo it again

qd should do the trick but may take a bit of elbow grease from the sounds of things... how long has the wax been on the panels now??

it wont hurt if you do decide to cleaner fluid the car again

Just curious, but here is a question.

I personaly haven't used Concorso but how were you able to apply it by hand? I mean how did you melt the wax? I've been scratching my head with Swissvax wax to be honest any feed back would be greatly appreciated :peace:

Flaking? How thick did you apply it?

It is a very hard wax and is applied very easily and nice and thin with a foam applicator. It also comes off very easy after it dries. Barely and dust let alone flaking.

the wax is kinda rough with some residue... once u rub them on your palms they melt like butter and your hand starts to get oily...

half the container.....ouch....that was an expensive wax job, go with the applicator next time, warming the wax between your hands and then applying the wax from your hands to the applicator, then apply the wax to the car with the applicator. One square centimeter should easily do the entire half of the car, if not more...

You can also warm the applicator in from of halogen lights, then swipe it over the tub and apply to the car...keeps you from having to warm the wax with your hands.

Just some thoughts for next time. IMO, you will probably need to re-prep with swissvax hd-clense product.

Half a container!!!! Wow, that became a hundred dollar wax job with supplies only.

I applied the wax by hand a couple of weeks ago it came off great with just a cookie monster towel. I made sure to try to make it as thin as possible, after I was done the container looks like I barely touched it.

half the container? wow. just get a red applicator or a cg one and apply a thin layer. I honestly do the swipe test to check to see if its ready to buff off. I think the 10min recommendation is if you are in a controlled in enviornment. If its hot, I usually do a swipe test and then start removing the wax so that I dont let the wax dry on.

Ouch dude, maybe it would have been cheaper to learn with Meg's #26 instead, hehe. Either way, I'm sure you've learned your lesson and you'll do a much better and easier wax job next time. ;)

When you apply and start to feel you need to put more wax on your hands try rubbing your hands together again and rub the panel. You'll find that you have more wax on your hands then you thought. Also warming up the hands and go over the area you just wax will help utilize some of the excess wax to cover more panel. Hope this made sense. :)

Here's a pic of the hood of an Audi A4 using the Concorso. I probably reached for the container about six to 8 times to get more wax but the amount was about the size of.... maybe a single peanut.

I also used a fluffy MF from PakShak to wipe off the wax with no flaking or powdering. I think the Swissvax micropolish towel is better used with the Quick Finish. And this was done in Hot and sunny Hawaii.:headbang:

I bet you're talking about how he got it out of the container huh? Concorso is nothing like Divine in terms of wax hardness. It is very easy to scoop out with your finger.

I agree when I applied by hand I was simply able to rub my palms over the container (since it was full) amd then together and I had plenty of wax to apply. I don't know what my new method will be once the container becomes more used up. But it was not that hard of a wax and melted very well in my hands while rubbing them together.
