Hey guy's just wondering if you guy's use any special techniques when applying wax by hand to avoid getting it on trim/ rubber. I always find it takes me a long time to apply the wax properly around door seals and rubber because im trying to cover all the areas properly without getting any wax on the trim. I know most waxes say they don't stain but im sure it's noticeable if you do get some on the trim. I do have some DG WE just in case I get any on the trim. So if you guy's have any helpful tips, pictures, videos whatever on applying wax/ sealant let me know!

I tape the things I want to protect; doesn't take long compared to removing wax from those parts.

+1 on taping, or just be extra careful around trim :) If you're doing any polishing, just don't take off the tape and you're already set to go!

Nope I don't. Menzerna Power Lock is what I use mostly and I always just move slow and with care around gentle areas. Even then a tiny amound on plastic or rubber doesn't change the appearance of the material. Spray sealants like Permanon and C2 are even better in this case, never have to worry at all. Tip: Open the door and hold back the rubber seal when doing that section.

Thanks guys, and I won't be doing any polishing just yet for now just wash/clay/wax. I have a vw so I have a crapload of rubber seals and I have to be really careful around them.

None of my paste waxes stain the trim, I know that for sure. But alot of polishes do, like the MG #105
