A little different review this time since it is a OTC product. ***Due to a simple oversight, the picture or link that was here broke the forums rule and has been removed. The results were impressive. ***Due to a simple oversight, the picture or link that was here broke the forums rule and has been removed. My apologies for any inconvenience.*** Although it may not be a great product for true professionals, I'd say it is a good product for a lot of people. It yields professional quality results for a relatively low cost. The supplied PowerBall is a decent quality tool to have around, and you get a full sized (8oz) bottle of PowerPlastic, so it is a decent value too.
I think the 3M one is better, but it doesn't include a towel, but it includes sanding paper for a backing plate and a light cutting pad. At that, its $15 where I see it.
Nice write up, my only question is how much wet sanding paper are you buying that it cost $200? I get mine locally and spent $50 and I have enough of each grit to last a long while.
I figure: $130 - 7224xp (lowest priced decent quality polish) $15 - 3.75" backing plate $5 foam polishing pad $8 PowerPlastic $40-50 for packs of 4 grades of paper.
Oh , I misunderstood. My apologies, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't buying "cheap" sand paper. LOL
"the lowest priced polisher, 3.75″ backing plate, 4″ polishing pad, 8oz bottle of Mothers PowerPlastic, and 4 packs of wet/dry sand paper will set you back about $200" I think he was talking about a polisher (PC), BP, Pad, Polish and sandpaper in total would cost $200
haha. Yeah, there is no way I'd pay that much for a consumable like sandpaper. Though, if you would, I would love to sell you some high-end sand paper.
