Do you guys pick what you use based on safety. I know for me I always used to and that why I started with griots garage. I then moved on to things like Sonax Wheel Cleaner and 1Z W99. I would say I am mildly concerned after reviewing the MSDS sheets on these products and even Autofinesse. Even though I always wear gloves and eye protection it is still a concern.

    Thanks

As you would expect...be careful with any chemical product. Always wash your hands after use. Wear gloves to ensure no product winds up on your skin. Try not to breathe in anything. Wear hearing protection when using loud tools. Ear protection is a great precaution against slinging product.

    You should be okay otherwise.

Solid advice. To be honest, this is one of my biggest pet peeves. I'm always paranoid about chemicals and toxicity. I always wear Nitrile or Latex gloves and never let the product sit for long on my hands without running water of them. I also tend to use products that have fairly low msds ratings. Just don't drink anything, use indoors with no ventilation, or let it sit on your skin and you should be just fine.

Thanks guys. What about sonax and w99.

For me I am not so much worried about skin contact as I am eye contact.

What kind of glasses do you reccomend. Safety goggles or safety glasses.

Ive never had an issue with W99 or Sonax.

W99 is pretty safe when diluted.

For Sonax, I have had some get blown in to my eyes, sure it didnt feel good, but be safe and wear eye protection. Gloves are optional IMO...

i can tell youfrom experience, if youre trying to be super safe, safety glasses will not cut it...its insane how everytging finds its way right around the sides! You just need to get the goggles...
